Our Goal as a Great Dane rescue in the sate of Virginia is to take in, rehabilitate and rehome purebred Great Danes, who are no longer wanted, by placing them in foster care and carefully screening potential adopters to ensure that the perfect forever homes are found. In addition to rescuing Great Danes in Virginia, we aim to educate the public about the breed.
The mission of Cat's Cradle is to ensure and maintain a safe, compassionate community for cats in the Shenandoah Valley. We do this by facilitating and promoting spay/neuter and Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR), conducting foster-based rescue and adoption from local shelters, and providing pet retention and rehoming programs. Our intent is to steadily decrease the intake of cats and kittens at local shelters and to ultimately end the euthanasia of healthy adoptable pets in the communities we serve.

With their modest 10 acre property, FOTF wants to focus everything they have on the few animals they will be able to accommodate. Foothill Dog Rescue is a 100% All volunteer organization dedicated to re-homing dogs from over crowded animal shelters, owner surrenders and underserved communities. We also sponsor vaccine and microchip clinics for our County and have sponsored mobile alter clinics in low-income communities and educate the public on the importance of spaying and newtering pets. We are called in as a back-up support, care and management of evacuated dogs for our local Animal shelter when wild fires hit our County. We hold a free weekly "Pack Walk" for our community attended by 20-40 dogs and their owners to provide socialization, leash training and tips for handling dogs.
