Purrfect Pals

Through placement and prevention programs, Purrfect Pals works to end cat homelessness in the Puget Sound region – Because every cat matters. At Purrfect Pals, our highest priority is taking in the cats and kittens who need us most: those who other shelters and rescue groups might not have the resources to help. This includes older cats, cats with major medical needs, cats with chronic illnesses (including FIV and Feline Leukemia) and those with behavioral challenges. We find homeless cats, including those with special needs, loving homes. We believe that every cat is adoptable; some just need more time than others to find the right match. Our ultimate goal is to place them, but these cats have a loving home in our sanctuary for as long as they need us.

Canine Pet Rescue

Canine Pet Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue organization focusing on saving German Shepherds from high kill shelters in the South. Our dogs are housed in both foster homes as well as in our cozy 7 run kennel located on the horse farm of our founder Carla Brown. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and Heart Worm preventative prior to placement. We teach a mutual respect between canine and human, which tends to be the source of problems many dog owners face with pet ownership. During training and rehabilitation, each dog is given adequate shelter, food, water, and mental stimulation. Typically, this organization has anywhere from 10-20 dogs in rehabilitation status at any given time.

Kansas Humane Society of Wichita

The Kansas Humane Society is the largest privately-funded, non-profit animal shelter organization in the state of Kansas. We believe pets are safest in a community that values and protects them, best cared for by a responsible and loving family, healthiest when seen regularly by a veterinarian, and that saving animal lives involves much more than increasing adoptions and decreasing euthanasia. Did you know we have many programs and services such as counseling to help people find solutions to keep their pets? We offer spay/neuter services to families in need to help prevent unwanted litters. Since 1888, we have helped hundreds of thousands of Wichita’s pets by providing them care, comfort, hope, and most importantly, a second chance at a new life.

Jr's Pups N Stuff

JR's Pups-N-Stuff began with one goal in mind - to save animals from life-threatening situations. We are a Foster-Home based rescue organization which receives animals resulting from Owner Surrenders or Placement Programs with other animal shelters. Often, these are animals that might otherwise be euthanized in their current shelter environments due to housing overflow/shortage. To date, we have rescued 8,000+ animals. All animals adopted through JR’s Pups-N-Stuff are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, receive all age appropriate vaccinations and flea/heartworm preventatives. All adult dogs are heartworm tested and treated if a positive result is received. Our intention is to find the right match between adopters & these animals with the hope of a forever home for these animals.

Greater Houston German Shepherd Dog Rescue

- Greater Houston German Shepherd Dog Rescue (GHGSDR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a breed-specific group dedicated to the rescue of German Shepherd Dogs (GSDs); and do not knowingly accept mixed-breed dogs into our program. Our GSDs are obtained from public shelters where they are scheduled to be euthanized or they are given to us directly by their owners. All dogs receive the necessary health care, including spaying/neutering and are micro-chipped and then are placed in a foster home until they are adopted. Our dogs are guaranteed a place in our organization throughout their life. We provide information and education to the community with emphasis on the importance of spaying/neutering and heart-worm prevention, and we work with transporters, animal shelters and other rescue organizations to develop a better life for all GSDs.

Puppy Pleasers Rescue

Puppy Pleasers Rescue is a private non-profit no-kill 501c3 licensed rescue developed to find loving homes for dogs and puppies who are in shelters, abandoned, or are unable to be cared for (owner-surrendered). Most of our rescues are puppies. This is our main focus since this will help the development of our little friends while they are young and just beginning. However, we do also take in adults and large breeds. We are not breed-specific and believe all breeds are deserving of love and care. Puppy Pleasers Rescue also works with and supports the prevention of over-population by "performing" and requiring the spay and neutering of animals as well as the spread of canine diseases by adhering requirements set by law and encouraging the upkeep by adopters. All rescues go to their new homes under a fair and simple contract that is expected to be thoroughly read and followed.
