Our Mission at Cloven Heart is to serve farmed animals that have been abused, neglected, or without home. The purpose is to restore dignity to them by providing a fear free and safe environment, healing them body and soul, and improving their quality of life so that they might thrive and truly live happily. Our goals in saving and helping farmed animals is to create community support and engagement through education, events, fundraising, and volunteerism so that as we change the lives of the animals that have made it to sanctuary, we also further the movement to save all animals from cruelty because animals deserve to live out happy lives.

HOHS supports trauma focused equine-assisted psychotherapy and learning at no cost for veterans, their families, and for at-risk youth.

The National Canine Cancer Foundation funds are used in eliminating cancer as a major health problem in dogs through education, outreach and research to save lives through prevention, finding cures, better treatments, more accurate cost effective diagnostic methods in dealing with cancer and diminishing dogs suffering from cancer.

Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats is California's only 100% feral cat rescue and socialization facility. As shelter interventionists, we focus our attention on the most vulnerable of felines -- feral cats and kittens. Our one hundred weekly volunteers, who use force-free socialization techniques, take street cats from 'hiss to home'. Each year, through TNR and Working Cat programs, we place a thousand feral cats in safe locations, and intake hundreds of feral kittens. As a 501c3, we rely on community donations and support. Only through working together can we continue to offer life saving services to LA's abandoned cats and kittens. Change a cat's life, today through a donation. Paws With A Cause® enhances the independence and quality of life for people with disabilities nationally through custom-trained Assistance Dogs. PAWS® increases awareness of the rights and roles of Assistance Dog Teams through education and advocacy.
