Our primary mission is to build and grow a peer support network, a mental health best practice, for animal welfare professionals.

Founded in 2008, the Project Horse Empowerment Center is a therapy and learning center which connects people in need of renewed hope and confidence with rehabilitated rescue horses, creating a unique community of mutual healing and benefit. Our treatment team, which includes licensed mental health professionals, certified equine specialists and therapy horses, works with clients of all ages with a wide variety of mental health challenges or personal development goals.

Mission Statement: To assist U.S. military veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) as well as local shelter dogs by providing integrative service dog training and mental health support to veterans and their families.

Weezer’s Warriors is a Chicago based dog rescue nonprofit and humanitarian organization that seeks to save canine lives and improve human ones by finding homes for homeless dogs with individuals looking to improve their mental health and well-being through the benefits of the human-animal bond.

Broken Wings Ministry is dedicated to Tammy's (founder of Broken Wings) brother Jimbo who died on Christmas Eve 2014 from a heroin overdose. He suffered from Opiod / mental health issues. He was a victim of the national opioid crisis in America and did not receive the help he needed. Broken Wings want to restore lives to people who are broken by addiction and mental health / trauma. We offer services in the Orlando area with emphasis on women and children suffering from opiod addiction/ substance abuse and other mental health challenges. Curently we provide services including outpatient office based therapy, animal and garden therapy. Once our residential home is purchased, clients can come and heal in a safe holistic environment (body, mind and spirit). Therapeutic interventions will aim to get at the root cause of addiction/ mental health and seek healing from triggers with effective interventions to avoid relapse. Interventions include: animal therapy, garden therapy, EMDR, talk therapy, group therapy, therapeutic massage, spirituality, develooping life skills, nutrition education and a twelve step program with family involvement. Then, after a client graduates from our program we want to follow them for life. We believe that recovery is a life long process and want to stand by our alumni. Therefore, Broken Wings will offer lifelong alumni outpatient counseling services to clients for support to prevent relapse.

Rising above life challenges through equine assisted therapy that facilitates learning and growth. Arise Equine Therapy Foundation utilizes the EAGALA and Natural Lifemanship therapy models of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). We use a team approach comprised of a licensed Mental Health Professional, a certified Equine Specialist, the horse(s) and the client(s). Through hands on, experiential activities real life challenges are identified and addressed to equip the client with practical solutions. EAP easily adapts to a variety of populations and needs. Success is seen in clients with, but not limited to, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, grief, depression, and other behavioral and mental health needs. Our staff is equipped to provide services to youths, adults, individuals, families and groups.

Combat veteran founded and operated, Semper K9’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for wounded members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families by providing them custom-trained service dogs. Using rescued and donated dogs Semper K9 provides mental health mobility service dogs for psychiatric alert and mobility challenges free of charge to disabled veterans across the country.

The Windsor-Essex Therapeutic Riding Association provides equine related therapy to over 200 adults and children with various disabilities. The association has a staff of certified riding instructors who are constantly updating their knowledge, a team of 18 therapy horses and ponies as well as over 100 dedicated volunteers.We have recently been able to add a mental health professional as well as an Occupational Therapist to enhance our services.

Their mission is to care for the physical, mental, and emotional needs of children, adults, Veterans, first responders, and their families through the healing power of horses.

Intercepting and breaking the cycles of Teen Suicide, Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence by pairing horses with the children and transforming the youth and horse in a bond of trust that leads to mental and physical recovery.
