The Gentle Barn is a national nonprofit organization, founded in 1999 as a safe haven and place of recovery for severely abused animals. The Gentle Barn offers their unique philosophy of rehabilitating animals and connecting their stories of survival and healing to the personal experiences of inner city, at-risk and special needs children who have suffered physical, mental, or emotional trauma. By interacting with The Gentle Barn’s approximate two hundred animals and taking a hands-on role in their welfare, those who participate in the programs at The Gentle Barn learn empathy, trust, and forgiveness. The Gentle Barn is run by Founder Ellie Laks and her husband and Co-founder Jay Weiner, both of whom were healed and supported by animals as children. The Gentle Barn’s mission is simple: “Inspiring Kindness and Compassion towards Animals, Our Planet, and Each Other.”

The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organization developing advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. The Ocean Cleanup has three core approaches to tackling plastic pollution: 1) Clean legacy ocean plastic - Since 2018, The Ocean Cleanup has deployed technologies to remove plastic that has accumulated in ocean garbage patches. It's current system (System 002) has removed more than 225,000 kg of plastic from The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. 2) Turn off the tap: The Ocean Cleanup also develops and deploys Interceptor technologies that prevent plastic from reaching the oceans via rivers, focusing on 1000 rivers that are responsible for 80% of riverine plastic pollution. To date, 19 Interceptor solutions have been deployed across 8 countries. 3) Research: In the process of understanding the problem, The Ocean Cleanup has become a global leader in field research on marine plastic pollution.

The Owl Foundation is a registered Canadian charitable organization focused on helping wild Canadian owls that are injured or orphaned. The foundation operates an owl rehabilitation centre located in the Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada.

The Farley Foundation subsidizes necessary veterinary care for the pets belonging to low income seniors and homes, persons with disabilities, Ontario Works recipients & abused women (OVMA SafePet Program). Eligibility criteria includes: Seniors receiving GIS, persons with disabilities receiving the ODSP or CPP Disability, Ontario Works recipients, pets belonging to seniors' care facilities, and women at risk of abuse*. Applications for funding are made by veterinary clinics. The Farley Foundation is the charitable arm of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, which covers most of the Foundation's overhead costs (e.g., staffing, office space rental). This charity pays tribute to one of Canada's most famous pets, Farley the Old English sheepdog from Lynn Johnston's For Better or For Worse® comic strip. The Brego Foundation is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and retirement of former racehorses and raising awareness of the plight of “the unwanted horse”. Our goal: drive proactive change in the horse/human relationship.

Buster Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing pit bulls and bully breed mixes. Through decades of cruelty, unethical breeding and irresponsible ownership, a once beloved family dog has now found itself the victim of discrimination and abuse, and a source of misdirected public fear.   We believe that every dog is an individual, deserving of a loving home, proper care, and a fair shake, regardless of breed. We hope our efforts lead to a better educated and more compassionate public.   The Buster Foundation is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization, and does not operate a shelter. All Buster dogs are cared for in foster homes by volunteers who commit their homes and free time to rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption efforts. We make every effort to have a volunteer respond to inquiries and questions within 72 hours. Our goal is to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of as many domestic animals as we can by providing funding for those animals whose medical needs are so extensive that they would have to be "euthanized" if financial funding was not possible.

Dedicated to the Preservation of Wild Horses and Burros on public lands in our ten Western States with special emphasis on horses with unique characteristics.

To rescue, restore to health, and place dogs and cats from shelters and find them loving new homes. To educate the public about responsible, compassionate pet guardianship while providing both pro bono and low cost veterinary services for those who otherwise could not afford this care.

Our mission is to provide immediate safety and care to stray, abused and abandoned animals. Once we are assured animals are medically sound, we place them in a secure, temporary, no-kill environment. This immediate placement provides all the love and comfort necessary for their well being and allows us to get to know them. Then, we look for "forever" homes that are committed to their health and happiness for the duration of their lives. When we match an animal with a caring person or family, Buddy is truly fulfilling our purpose of lighting the way home

The Kris Kelly Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving animals from abuse, neglect, slaughter.  It is the goal, dream of our foundation to provide a safe, loving home for all animals through promoting adoption and educating the public about joys of living with pets in our lives.
