In 1874, Charleston Animal Society became the first animal organization in South Carolina and one of the first in the Nation and has never turned our local animals away. PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. PAWS is the city’s largest no-kill shelter and operates two high-volume, low-cost clinics serving pet owners and rescue organizations that lack access to affordable basic veterinary care. Through its adoption locations, special events, and foster care network, PAWS finds loving homes for thousands of animals each year. PAWS is working to make Philadelphia a no-kill city where every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home.

For 121 years, The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) has responded to the needs of animals and the people who care about them. In fact, we are often the first to respond. With over 520 dedicated volunteers and 100 staff members, ARL lends unwavering support to local animals, families, and neighborhoods. We provide outstanding veterinary care, adoption, and rescue services. We also confront the root causes of animal cruelty and neglect through special police investigation and advocacy aimed at strengthening the laws that protect animals. Last year alone, we served more than 16,000 animals in need.

Greater Palm Springs Animal Allies (formerly Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, which operates the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, the Desert Wildlife Center and the Desert Community Animal Center. The Palm Springs Animal Shelter is an open admissions municipal shelter serving the city of Palm Springs and providing programs for animals, pets and pet owners across the Coachella Valley. The Desert Wildlife Center, located in Indio, CA, serves as a safe refuge for sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife needing medical treatment and rehabilitation. The Desert Community Animal Center, located in Desert Hot Springs, CA, is a low-cost veterinary clinic serving the residents of Desert Hot Springs and throughout the Coachella Valley.

The mission of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals - Angell Animal Medical Center is to protect animals, relieve their suffering, advance their health and welfare, prevent cruelty, and work for a just and compassionate society.
