The Marvin Hamlisch International Music Awards discovers and champions youth and emerging composers from around the world. The awards were created to honor the late Marvin Hamlisch, paying tribute to his remarkable legacy as both an artist and an advocate for emerging talent.

The 2014 Northern Alberta International Children's Festival takes place in St. Albert, Alberta from May 27 to 31. As the second oldest children's festival in Canada, it is celebrating its 33rd year providing exceptional artistic and cultural experiences for the children of central and northern Alberta. The Festival hosts international, national and provincial performing artists who provide music, dance, theatre and storytelling for young audiences and families over the course of the five-day event. Selected programming will be presented in both official languages and the Festival will showcase 50% Canadian content. In addition to main stage venue artists/companies, the Festival will also offer: • Visual arts activities • Percussion activity • Roving performances • Healthy living activities • First Nations, Inuit and Metis artists • Papermaking • Literary arts • Free Outdoor Stage • Toddler Town
The most renowned professional arts festival for young audiences, the Vancouver International Children's Festival presents the world's most acclaimed music, theatre, dance, circus arts, puppetry and storytelling, as well as creative arts activities and roving entertainers for the entire family. The 37th annual Festival will welcome more than 30,000 children, parents and educators to Vancouver’s Granville Island May 27–June 01, 2014.
AFC is the world's leading artist group supporting the environment. Dedicated to nurture, promote and leverage its world-class community of artists in support of our natural world, AFC drives its mission through three key pillars: Art & Environmental Education; Field Work & Research; and Artist Development. The Artists for Conservation Festival is the annual flagship initiative of Artists for Conservation International Foundation, to support, showcase and further these three pillars.
In 2005 our sister organization, Village Schools International, opened our first 3 schools, built 22 classrooms, received 13 missionary teachers from America, and enrolled 832 students. Today, we have twenty-six schools in villages in Tanzania which are providing an education to nearly 7300 students, and we are currently partnering with people in 188 villages, working together to try to build an additional 138 classrooms this year and to open at least two more of the six new schools under construction.
Founded in 2010, The International Foundation for Contemporary Music' mission is to support the creation, performance, and education of contemporary music around the world. In the beginning, this mission focused on producing the Cortona Sessions for New Music, which has evolved into one of the world's premiere summer training festivals for contemporary music. In the years since, the IFCM's mission has expanded to supporting innovative projects from a variety of performers and composers, and now, with the purchase of the IFCM's new home at the Hammert Building, to creating an exciting new concerts series for the community of Eudora, KS called Concerts @ the Hammert.
The mission of Niosha International Conservatory of Arts (NICArt) is to promote the arts, culture and literature of local communities by providing access to various creative experiences such as lessons in visual and performing arts, theatre production, music instruction, language classes, martial arts, and sports programs. Through our efforts, NICArt aims to: ✯ Provide instruction in fine arts. ✯ Offer facilities for participants to engage in the promotion and participation of artistic and cultural events. ✯ Create opportunities for participants to engage in cultural gatherings. ✯ Host and/or participate in events and activities that promote the arts, culture and literature of local communities.

Less than an hour, northeast of Montreal, the Lanaudière Festival is the most highly-acclaimed classical music festival in Canada. Thousands of music lovers flock to the outdoor Fernand-Lindsay Amphitheatre,sitting under the roof, or picnicking on the sloping lawn to hear major symphonic orchestras and internationally renowned soloists. Concerts are also held in the magnificent historic churches of the Lanaudière region. More than 25 wonderful concerts and a wide range of tourist activities are available from July to the beginning of August.
