Girls; Live, Love, Laugh Inc. mission is to permit every girl in the city of Newark a chance to live, love and laugh through our fundamental workshops on Leadership and Career Development, Education, Peer Groups, Money Management for Girls and our Fit Girls Rock Health and Wellness Clinic. We facilitate the linking of Canadian volunteers (including those from ethnic communites, recent university graduates and retirees) with indigenous organizations and their humanitarian initiatives in third world countries. We provide management and technical support to these volunteers as well as tax-deductible receipts for their donors. Our service enables volunteer Canadian 'humanitarians' and their third world partners to implement projects in health, water, agro- forestry, income generation and education. The mission of the Spafford Children's Center (SCC) is to bring healing, hope, and prosperity to Palestinian children and their families in Jerusalem and the West Bank by offering programs and services that increase health in mind, body, and spirit. The mission of the American Friends of the Spafford Children's Center Fund (AFSCCF) is to support the SCC by raising funds in the United States. AFSCCF activities are implemented by a volunteer board of directors. AFSCCF pays no staff salaries and no overhead so that all funds, minus direct expenses like printing and postage, can be sent to SCC.

Founded in 1999, the FGM is modeled after the 700-odd community foundations that already exist in Canada and the United States. Their versatility, flexibility, and effectiveness allow these foundations to satisfy both the wishes of donors and the needs of the charitable organizations they benefit. The FGM differs from other charitable organizations in that it builds endowment funds, the revenues from which are used to support charitable work in a number of areas, primarily health, education, social development, arts and culture, and the environment. Donations to the FGM thus serve the Greater Montreal community in perpetuity.
