Bhutan has a unique identity as the last sovereign, independent Buddhist kingdom in the Himalayas. Despite its tiny size and its small population, and despite its powerful neighbors- Tibet and China to the north and India to the south, Bhutan has never been occupied by invading forces. This means it has retained a very ancient and vibrant culture that is deeply Buddhist in all its aspects. Most of the population are subsistence farmers and herders barely making a living on difficult, remote and road-less mountainous terrain. Per capita annual income is one of the world's lowest. But compassion, harmony, environmental protection and cultural preservation are traditional and key values in this country. As the country carefully integrates into the modern 21st century, it is more important than ever to establish mature and well educated women throughout the country - grounded in their culture and free to express their compassionate action both in their own country and abroad.

AASEE is dedicated to advancing science and engineering education at the K-12 level. We work directly with students in the classroom. AASEE designs curriculum-based and fun hands-on activities through collaborative research, where we try to ensure a maximum engagement of teachers and parents along with the students. We provide training and resources to pre-university educators. We also create opportunities for the students to learn directly from experts and leaders in the respective fields. AASEE gives priority to diverse populations, namely Canada’s first nations peoples, girls, and those in financial need, as well as rural populations. We are mandated to work across the globe, and are implementing an ambitious plan. At AASEE we target tomorrow´s leaders in science and engineering who will be working with a true passion. We believe advancing science and engineering education is the right way to go, and the right thing to do.

The goal of the Organization's charitable activities is to increase the availability of information on the rights of the most vulnerable and key populations and ways to overcome the negative consequences of discrimination based on HIV stigmatization, xenophobia, sexual orientation and gender identity (hereinafter referred to as the Goal). The scope of the Organization's activities is to provide charitable support to people of various social categories within the framework of public interests in accordance with its goals.

The Edmonton Poetry Festival recognizes that Poetry is a source of energy, entertainment and joy shared by all societies. It is a bridge to connect cultures. Edmonton has a poetry community capable of taking its place on the national and international stage. The Festival promotes learning – learning about poetry and learning through poetry. The festival connects poetry with other art forms (like visual art and music) and other disciplines (like science and medicine). The festival affirms poetry’s diversity and brings together different genres, ages, levels of experience, including amateur and professional.

Connecting people with plants by conserving and researching the biological diversity of our collections and the ecosystems of the 26 latitudes; engaging our visitors in learning about plants, gardens and ecosystems; and inspiring our visitors to value plants, gardens and natural habitats.

Norway House connects contemporary Norway and the United States through arts, business, and cultural programming. It operates a cultural center with exhibitions, classes, business support (BARN), a café and events to promote Norwegian–American ties and public engagement.

Transforming lives through the arts. Founded in 2012 "Develops communities of connection, celebration and creating art that transforms life and elevates culture." Initiatives: Arts Outreach to the underprivileged, Community Groups for creatives and Equipping Events (concerts, conferences, etc.)

Hanford Mills Museum operates an authentic water- and steam-powered historic site. We inspire audiences of all ages to explore connections betweeen energy, technology, natural resources, and entrepreneurship in rural communities, with a focus on sustainable choices.

Filoli's mission is to connect our rich history with a vibrant future through beauty, nature and shared stories. We envision a time when all people honor nature, value unique experiences and appreciate beauty in everyday life.

The aim is to help the communauty to reunite after being torn apart due to the conflict. Moreover, the aim is to promote a reintegration based on sustainable, social and economical values. The Centro COMParte participates to the reintegration of a population in a post-conflict situation throughout education, culture and entrepeneurship. The Centro COMParte is open everyday for the children and give them a complementary to school : the mission is to give them an education around peace as they all come from families that directly lived the conflict. Furthermore, working with the adults allows to create nexus around the community and to make people know one another and work and learn together is the best way to connect and make peace. Finally, the Centro COMParte promote the recognition of the women work and fight against low incomes. Sembrando Confianza has developped a great network of local producers and allow them to be more sustainable and to learn how to product organically. The social market created by SC allow consumers to be more sensibilized with local and organic products.
