The Daniel Pearl Foundation promotes tolerance and understanding internationally through journalism, music and dialogue. Formed by Danny's family and friends to continue Danny's mission of connecting people through words and music, the Foundation addresses the root causes of the hatred that took his life through education and communication.  The Foundation brings journalists and editors from Muslim countries to U.S. newsrooms and uses the universal language of music to promote Harmony for Humanity through the Daniel Pearl World Music Days. Additionally, the Foundation conducts public Muslim- Jewish dialogue and features lectures by journalists and policy makers who contributed original analysis or constructive approaches to problems of national or international concern.

The Yarmouth Hospital Foundation is a registered charitable organization providing funding to enhance patient care at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Since its establishment in 1970, and through the generosity of the community, the Foundation has helped to fund a major building expansion and has invested more than $17 million in equipment and facilities at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. On average the Foundation purchases more than $300,000 in patient-related equipment for the hospital each year. The Yarmouth Hospital Foundation is governed by a voluntary board of directors with representatives from the local community and the hospital. Funds are raised through major gift solicitation, community mail appeals, special events, memorial gifts and other fundraising activities.

The Carmel Mission Foundation was established to restore and preserve the historic buildings, grounds, and artifacts throughout the Carmel Mission, founded in 1771. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 Corporation independent from any religious organizations. The Carmel Mission is a U.S. National Historic Landmark, a California State Landmark, and is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. Since 2008, the Foundation has awarded over $10 million to support the restoration and preservation needs throughout the 22-acre Carmel Mission property.

Namo Buddha Foundation (Canada) was established at the request of the Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche in 2000. Namo Buddha Foundation is a Canadian registered charitable organization founded by Thrangu Rinpoche to provide food, clothing, medical care and education to the poor children of the Himalayan region, and support nunneries, monasteries, schools, free clinics, retreat centres and monastic colleges in Nepal, India and Tibet. Namo Buddha Foundation (Canada) receives funds, issues tax receipts for Canadians, and ensures that those funds benefit the projects and people they are intended for.
