Carpe Diem has become an important organization in the social, cultural and civic life of Karlovac to this day. The primary target group is young people, but its programs and projects often include all age and social groups. It has a well-developed organizational structure, competent people who are members of various national councils and committees for social development, and enjoys the reputation of one of the key organizations for improving the quality of life in Karlovac County. Carpe Diem mostly works with young people, covering all areas of young people's lives in order to contribute to the development of better living conditions for young people in Karlovac County. Since its foundation in 2005, the Carpe Diem association has implemented over 110 projects, programs and initiatives, initiated numerous changes in the city. What we consider our greatest success are active young people who have found themselves and meaning in life, who have been organizing various events in Karlovac in recent years. One of the most important projects run by Carpe Diem is the Youth Center in Grabrik since 2008, which has become an example of good practice in Croatia, but also in Europe, through which we inform, educate and empower young people for active participation in society and strengthen their competences for life. Since 2021, the Carpe Diem association has also run a social and cultural center called Prostor(i)ja and is located in the city center of Karlovac. One of the most important areas of the association's activities is the development of volunteerism, and annually, in our activities, about 60 volunteers participate. Also, since 2014, in the Carpe Diem association, every year we host 3 foreign volunteers who come for a year through the program of the European Solidarity Corps. Carpe Diem is a member of national networks in the field of youth information, volunteerism development, civic education and, at the local level, networks for the development of independent culture.
FIASCO THEATER is an ensemble theater company created by graduates of the Brown University/Trinity Rep M.F.A. acting program. Past shows include Cymbeline (TFANA/Barrow Street), Into the Woods (Roundabout, Old Globe, McCarter), Measure for Measure (New Victory), The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Folger/TFANA) and Twelfth Night. Cymbeline was presented Off-Broadway twice, for nearly 200 performances, and was honored with the 2012 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for best revival. Into the Woods garnered the 2015 Lucille Lortel Award for Best Revival. Every year, Fiasco offers the Free Training Initiative—a three-week, conservatory-level classical acting intensive for professional actors, completely free of charge to students. Fiasco has been in residence with Duke University, Marquette University, LSU, and NYU-Gallatin. Their work has been developed at the Sundance Theatre Lab, the Orchard Project, SPACE at Ryder Farm (upcoming) and the Shakespeare Society, and Fiasco has led master classes at Brown University and NYU. OUR MISSION The mission of Fiasco Theater is to offer dynamic, joyful, actor-driven productions of classic and new plays, and to offer high-level theatrical training through classes and workshops. Our goal is to create a new model of fiscal sustainability whereby we remunerate our artists for their valuable work and offer our performances and training at low or no cost to our audiences and students. WHO WE ARE: We are a team of classically trained actors with a common aesthetic vision and a passion for teaching acting. We choose to work as an ensemble because we believe this allows us the possibility to create something greater than the sum of its parts. WHAT WE BELIEVE: The artists at Fiasco believe that thrilling theater is invented through dynamic rehearsal – exploring the play in a full, open, joyful way through the voice, body, and imagination. We believe the performer, the text and the audience are the only elements required to make great theater. These principles of the power of rehearsal inspire both the creation of our performances and the training of our students. A NEW FISCAL MODEL We believe that theater is a societal foundation. It brings communities together, teaches empathy and has the power to inspire, galvanize and heal people. It’s vibrancy is necessary for the health of a culture, and shouldn’t be a luxury only accessible to the wealthy. We also believe that people who choose to create art for a living should be able to make a living doing so and shouldn’t have to choose between creating art and a living wage. But the current producing wisdom demands that wages be kept low to minimize costs while ticket prices are raised to maximize the potential for profit. It is a wisdom that hurts artists and audience alike. Fiasco’s mission is to invert that equation: we seek to offer art to the public at affordable prices while paying the artists who create it a living wage. We do so by enlisting the generosity of donors, corporations and foundations in support of artist salaries and subsidized ticket prices. WHY FIASCO? Legend has it the word “fiasco” was first used to describe commedia dell’arte performances that went horribly (and hilariously) wrong. In those instances the performer would have to fare fiasco or “make a bottle.” In other words “You’re buying!” While we hope to avoid on-stage disasters, we do believe that it is only when artists are brave enough to risk a fiasco that the possibility exists of creating something special. We chose the name Fiasco to remind ourselves to brave the huge leaps in the hopes of reaping huge artistic rewards.
Founded as a traditional community foundation in 1994, Incourage has evolved into a place-based philanthropic community steward, dedicated to and led by the people of rural Central Wisconsin. Over two decades, we have adapted our work to meet the complex needs of a region recovering from a severity of disinvestment that parallels that of central Appalachia. Today, Incourage plays many roles in community development: steward, convener, facilitator, trainer, researcher, grant-maker, fundraiser, investor, and advocate. We play these critical roles in an attempt to foster an environment in which residents believe that change-both cultural renewal and economic reinvention-can exist and thrive. Our mission is to cultivate an inclusive community that is open and productive for all, and simultaneously to build and diversify a sustainable, resilient local economy. We align these operational goals with our philosophical values of equity, opportunity, and shared stewardship. People are our most important asset and positive community change happens when individuals have the opportunity to realize their full potential. Residents who feel a sense of ownership, shared responsibility and shared destiny by virtue of a shared place are essential in shaping healthy, sustainable and inclusive economic growth. Two important theoretical frameworks guide all of our strategic endeavors: To help individuals and organizations learn to build the trusting relationships needed to mobilize for change, Incourage integrates tools and techniques from Adaptive Leadership, a practical framework for collective action in communities facing complex systemic challenges. Changing attitudes and behaviors can take years to achieve, and this model helps Incourage tackle the inevitable interpersonal challenges in that incremental process. Many of rural Central Wisconsin's valuable resources were not previously integrated into the once thriving single-industry ecosystem that has now evaporated. By promoting a comprehensive view of community assets, and by spearheading innovative opportunities for cooperative investment, Incourage helps to strengthen cross-sector networks, fill gaps, and nurture a holistic local economy. Now is an especially exciting time for Incourage. Through our work, we have exposed weaknesses in the traditional structure of a community foundation in meeting the greater needs of a marginalized rural community in America. As we focus on creating a community that works well for all people, Incourage seeks long-term community transformation that addresses our deep history of wealth inequality. Specifically, we are working to transform the underlying social, political, cultural, and economic conditions in our community that have hindered access to opportunity and perpetuated the status quo. Community members who have benefited from decades of inequitable business-as-usual cultural norms actively resist our attempts to fuel change. Lessons learned have allowed us to more recently identify and define our role as a disruptor in the sphere of traditional philanthropic community development organizations. We remain committed to the radical idea that community-led philanthropy can drive the transformation of a sustainable, equitable region where all people can truly thrive, and we are now on the cusp of implementing a new, next level structure to leverage our impact and resources for the people we serve.

We promote and improve girls' access, participation, and retention in schools. Provide educational materials such as uniform ,Shoes, books, notebooks, pens, pencils, stationary, sanitary pad, cash for feeding and boarding fees .Provides shelter, basic human needs and job for victims and survivors of Child Abuse, exploitation, human trafficking, labour and modern slavery. The Ombetja Yehinga Organisation(OYO) is a Namibian Trust (T109/09) that uses the Arts to create social awareness. All our projects have an Art component (dance, drama, films, publications), all address a social issue (including HIV, teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence, anti-bullying). Most of our projects are in school but we also work with offenders in correctional facilities. OYO believes that children and teenagers need to be reached more than once (to reinforce messages), using exciting mediums (to stimulate their attention) with simple, yet strong messages (to impact on their attitudes and behaviours). OYO suggests interventions to start a dialogue with the schools (whereby schools are recipient of an activity), followed by interventions at school level (under the form of a campaign where schools have to take a stand and become actively involved in the process). OYO believes that children and teenagers have the answer. All we need is to unlock their creativity. Among others, OYO has: Created the OYO dance troupe. This is the first and currently only troupe in Namibia employing dancers as performers. The troupe has reached over 200,000 children in schools so far, performing a vast repertoire. Produced various DVDs. Most DVDs are used in schools during evening sessions with learners, triggering discussion and challenging norms. 'Salute' is the first DVD produced in Namibian Correctional Facilities with inmates, telling their stories. Other DVDs include 'Kukuri' on child marriage, 'pap and milk' on sugar daddies (inter-generational sex) and the mini-series 'my best interest' on children's rights. OYO has worked with numerous out-of-school youth groups in many parts of the country, produced various drama and photographic exhibititons (including 'the caring Namibian man' and 'still life') and supported various school clubs and girls' camps. OYO uses the Arts because the Arts don't appeal to your intellect but to your feelings. It makes you feel and once you feel, you start reflecting. Programs appealing to your intellect provide you with knowledge, but the Arts, appealing to your feelings, impact your choices and subsequently influence your attitude and behavior. Some of our projects include: The San matter project: The rationale for San Matter Phase I was that only 67 percent of San children in the country enroll in school. And only 1 percent of those children complete secondary school. (OSISA Group report "Rethinking Indigenous Education,"). One of the reasons for the high drop out of San children from the education sector is linked to cultural bullying in schools. Since 2016 OYO implements an anti-cultural bullying project in twenty four schools across two regions of Namibia. Activities include intervention by the OYO dance troupe, training of the local out-of-school youth group, implementation of San girls camps, organisation of the San School friendly competition once every second year. Over 88% of the San children involved in the project have re-enrolled in schools in 2019. The growing strong in the Karas region: Since 2006, OYO has been supporting various youth groups, training them in the arts of drama, dance and songs and creating shows of social significance with them. In 2008, OYO established its OYO dance troupe. OYO is now developing packages involving both the dance troupe and youth groups working on the same issue from two different angles and visiting the same schools to reinforce messages. The 'In and out' project: this is project to work with inmates (called offenders in Namibia) in correctional facilities on issues around HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health. In a country where sodomy is still criminalised, offenders do not have access to condoms. Together with offenders OYO works towards addressing their needs, wants and fears and encourages them to know their status. Over 600 inmates have been tested as part of the project. Solidarna maps needs and creates new opportunities for all citizens to act in solidarity, in our joint effort to protect human rights and meet basic human needs, reduce inequalities and expand freedoms in all social spheres. SOLIDARNA acts as a reliable partner to civil society actors, the socially responsible business community and donors for social development, serving as a catalyst for the mobilization of resources, a promoter of solidarity and social support for autonomous initiatives for the protection of human rights in Croatia, the region and throughout Europe. SOLIDARNA Foundation's support program provides prompt and targeted support to human rights defenders, civic initiatives, and victims of human rights violations such as survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Our objectives are empowering civil society, mobilisation and support for human rights defenders and gender equality. Solidarna works on strengthening philanthropy and the culture of solidarity through raising philanthropy and human rights in the media, developing individual and coorporate philatrophy. In addition, we continuously work on systemic changes through our advocacy focus. SOLIDARNA's mission statement SOLIDARNA - Foundation for Human Rights and Solidarity is the first community-based, private human rights foundation from Croatia of its kind, set up in December 2015 by 55 founders - 49 human individuals and six human rights organizations, as a strategic innovative philanthropic endeavour of the Croatian human rights community of practice to enhance autonomy of progressive civic activism in defence of human rights in their full spectrum. It was set up in light of chronic deterioration of human security purported by socially insensitive, neoliberal public policies and the current global offensive of the radical and clerical right against human rights and gender equality which has intentionally targeted Croatians society and politics since its accession to the EU in 2013. SOLIDARNA's founders were especially concerned about rising anti-liberalism, nationalism, misogyny, xenophobia and authoritarianism in Croatia and its two neighbouring regions of Central Europe and the Balkans, but also across the EU and globally. The assumption of gradual implosion of public funding for human rights advocacy proved correct, as did the expectation of rising needs for ad hoc citizen actions and independent media production to protect the society against illiberal trends, which are not eligible for project and program funding from the EU and government donors. In such complex and increasingly hostile environment, SOLIDARNA believes that resilience primarily stems from reinvigorated solidarity actions around issues that re-connect the concept of human rights with deprivation of peoples' basic needs, such as access to health, education, ineffective state protection against violence, discrimination and marginalization. In SOLIDARNA we know that one of the key problems in our society is that human rights protection ghettoized in the minds of most people to few independent institutions and specialized NGOs, which are at the same time exposed to malicious media bashing on part of ultraconservatives as well as libertarians. SOLIDARNA wants to change but this social dynamic and public perception of human rights, by reconnecting human rights with the basic human needs and the core practices of solidarity from bottom up, in line with the famous quote by Eleanor Roosevelt, which has served as key source of inspiration for SOLIDARNA's purpose to contribute to autonomy and sustainability of human rights protection, by enhancing a culture of solidarity and by building local philanthropy for human rights. In short, SOLIDARNA wants to bring human rights back home - to hearts, minds and lives of ordinary people. SOLIDARNA's founders believe that promoting and protecting all generations of human rights - from fundamental freedoms of expression, assembly and association, to right to work, home, healthy environment and basic public goods - requires lasting societal effort, creativity and strong resilience to all kinds of pressures. Hence, SOLIDARNA strives to earn trust and become a reliable partner to private and public donors, local communities and civil society initiatives, acting as mediator and catalyst of more effective human rights awareness raising, advocacy and resource mobilization for autonomous human rights initiatives in Croatia and its broader region. SOLIDARNA, as a reliable, responsive and resourceful re-granting channel and programming associate can add value in mapping and shaping grant-making opportunities to ensure substantial and sustainable community impact on human rights protection in Croatia and regionally, in line with well detected needs of local human rights defenders and the communities they serve. International and public funding is instrumental for balancing out the fragility of the private donor environment for human rights in Croatia which SOLIDARNA strives to reshape. For SOLIDARNA as a new community-focused human rights foundation with no initial operational funds, the key challenge was building its core organizational capacities necessary for the foundation to raise necessary funds to roll out its prospective grant giving programs.
Real School in Goris is founded to create an informal education in Goris which will give the students the opportunity to get both theoretical and practical knowledge and skills, which will be enough to enter the job market easier. Our main goal is to create a techno-park based on that educational platform. To reach this goal, we took the Real School concept and programs and we are implementing the school in Goris as a separate institution. The main mission is like the Real School mission, which can be found below: The REAL SCHOOL is providing its graduates with knowledge (theoretical and practical) and skills (professional, personal and social) to succeed in high-tech innovative industry. REAL SCHOOL is a four year collage level program that combines liberal arts in-class education and vocational off-site trainings in R&D organizations, resulting in a level of knowledge comparable to today's Bachelor level graduates of Armenian universities combined with practical skills and CV of a 1-year junior developer in modern IT/High-tech company. The main difference from classical Bachelors program is targeting professional career in the industry, rather than academic career. However it doesn't mean that the applicants are low-level technicians. Modern high-tech industry requires everyday effort in self-education (lifelong learning) due to constantly changing technologies, innovation, new fields, spheres, opportunities. The modern life is not divided into "learn" and "work" segments anymore, but is combining the work & learning process till the last day of the professional career. As a consequence, the classical approach to education (learn only) and to professional career (work only) is failing in XXI century. Our vision of XXI century high-tech organization is a combination of Research, Production and Education formats. An organization that lacks any one of these 3 components, will loose in competition to those who are doing their own innovation, that is close to their own production, and are educating their own staff by maintaining the internship logistics. Our mission is to implement such program in partnership with IT organizations in neighborhood of each RealSchool site. It includes expansion to rural areas of developing countries, helping local industry to upgrade to meet the challenges of innovative high-tech economy. The liberal arts program is following classical approach to education of a "free citizen" of a republic, i.e. provide understanding of the structure of the world, universe, civilization, economy, which is sufficient for the person to discover their mission for their life or at least for the next 7-12 years, and to develop their skills and knowledge towards fulfillment of that mission. The liberal arts program itself is built in a project-based approach. The projects used in this section of the curriculum are also real-life projects, i.e. they are not invented by professors for educational purposes but are chosen from the infrastructure projects and issues faced by the region/country/world. Examples of such projects for I and II grade students include: 1) Forest recovery, in cooperation with the Armenian Forestry Committee. Green industry projects. Reuse of materials. Effective ovens development. Effective usage of forests/wood in the industry and household. Biodegradable materials development and use in the small scale high-end production. 2) Study of ancient Armenian literature, classical Armenian language, terminology, in cooperation with prominent researchers in the field. Creation of fonts, spell-checkers, translators for modern dialects (western/eastern) of Armenian and classical Armenian. Localization of the GNU SW (Firefox, Thunderbird, OpenOffice, Xfce4, Gimp, Inkscape, etc). 3) Study of ancient musical notation systems and body movement (dance) notation systems, development of SW for musical and ethnographic studies, in cooperation with researches from Armenian Conservatory, institute of Komitas and Armenian song and dance academy. 4) Study of environmental health control and monitoring, development of measurement kits for air, water, soil and ether (electromagnetic) pollution, performance of the measurements and publication/awareness promotion projects 5) Study of information management systems, information security challenges, development of national standards for information age, upgrade of national institutions, ministries to reduce paperwork and use modern IT solutions 6) Study of macroeconomic and microeconomic field, legislation. Development of promotion programs and lobbying for making legislation more friendly towards innovation, startup, family-business and small/medium enterprises. 7) Study of pedagogical and epistemological issues in high-tech post-modern reality, development of extracurricular and curricular studies for middle-school and high-school students. Support and further development of Armath curriculum, in cooperation with original authors of Armath curicula. Augmenting Armath with radio-frequency, electronics, mechatronics and biochemical kits. In the fields of pedagogy and epistemology - the mission is to reconsider foundations of personal training, establishment, attachment and feeling of heartbeat of the civilization, world, universe for a modern human being. From our perspective the history of the epistemology and thought is split into segments of before XIV century (primarily descriptive science), followed by the birth of analytical methods and decomposition, until hitting the ground (subatom, genome, lexical elements) in the mid XX century, and starting the third phase - the age of synthetic science (syntetic materials, synthetic life forms, synthetic languages). At the same time this switch from analytical to synthetical coincided with demographic supernova burst: for ages the population on earth was < 1B, and in XX it jumped to 7B and continues growing. As in the case of supernova - and in general - any bifurcation point - it is hard to predict what will be the next state: the dwarf, black hole, or new star. It is easier to choose desired outcome and invest resources in achieving that outcome, rather than investing in analytical efforts to predict the outcome. Fundamental reconsideration of human beings attitude towards self, towards their planet, their civilization and the universe is due to protect new generation from storm of information they are facing from their birth time, and give them instruments to categorize, prioritize and filter that information, in order to extract the core values, build goals and obtain attachment to life that was "given" in in the past to a person by the life style, and now has became a major problem for new generation, which has hard time finding challenges outside the virtual world of social networks and network games. Parents cannot solve this problem alone. The system needs to be built by the state to help them. Our goal is to provide B2G consulting and active participation in building the new formats and curricula for different age groups. Our consortium has created the Armath program under this mission, is building the Real School program, and has started building the Academic Research Hub for the academic (fundamental research) field as well. Among these, the RealSchool in mid-term has the highest impact on our future.

The Borderland Rainbow Center's mission is to create a community space in which lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex (LGBTQI) people and their allies can heal, grow, and empower themselves and others. This substance-free space will connect LGBTQI people to resources for improved physical and mental health, economic stability, legal rights, education, spiritual and cultural enrichment.
