The Students on Ice Foundation seeks funding from a wide variety of sources. Each year, up to one hundred high school students receive scholarships to participate on Students on Ice expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic thanks to the generous support of governments, foundations, corporations and philanthropists around the world.
The Quesnel Community Foundation is a public charity that gives grants to projects to help improve or address an issue in our community. We have a permanent Community Investment fund, which will never be spent. To date, we have given out $175,000 in grants to deserving community groups since we were founded in 2001. We are autonomous and governed by a volunteer board of local leaders. We are a member of Community Foundations of Canada and receive advice and assistance from them, as well as the Vancouver Foundation.

Your individual gift is never spent or ‘used up.’ Its purchasing power is preserved along with other donor gifts through an invested capital fund. Donations are retained as capital in perpetuity. The interest generated by the fund is used to provide grants to enhance the quality of life in Aylmer and surrounding area.
