The Timken Museum of Art preserves the Putnam Collection of European old masters, American art and Russian icons for the education and benefit of present and future generations of San Diego residents and visitors. The Museum celebrates the important role of art as a way of enriching lives and nurturing the creative spirit in us all.

THE NON-PROFIT CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERAL REVENUE CODE, OR CORRESPONDING SECTION OF ANY FUTURE FEDERAL TAX CODE. THE ORGANIZATION IS ORGANIZED TO SUPPORT NORTH SHORE CHILDRENS MUSEUM.

The organization honors Arkansas military veterans and promotes public awareness of their service and accomplishments. It maintains a Hall of Fame (including a display at the state capitol) and holds an annual induction banquet to recognize selected veterans.

The museum preserves and shares the history and cultural contributions of African Americans—with an emphasis on Bucks County—through exhibits, educational programs, community events, and tours. Its work aims to promote understanding of African American history, highlight local and national contributions, and inspire pride and learning across audiences.

The award winning Anderson County Museum collects, preserves, and interprets artifacts that document the history of Anderson County and South Carolina for present and future generations. We educate diverse audiences by creating a place where visitors find meaning in learning the local, regional, and national significance of Anderson County, South Carolina, and its citizens.

The museum restores, preserves, and operates historic vessels and maritime artifacts to educate the public about San Diego and Pacific maritime history. It offers public exhibits, ship tours, educational programs, and hands-on on‑water experiences to promote maritime heritage.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, serves as a welcoming and inclusive place for all people, connecting the communities of Houston with diverse histories of art spanning 5,000 years and six continents. Through our permanent collections, special exhibitions, learning and interpretation programs, studio instruction, publications, conservation, and scholarly research, we strive to inspire appreciation and understanding of the broadest spectrum of human achievement.

The mission of the National Medal of Honor Museum and its attendant education center is to commemorate the stories of our Medal of Honor recipients, unite Americans around what it means to be patriotic, and inspire us to find the hero within ourselves. At a time when Americans yearn for common ground, visitors will appreciate the deeds our best and bravest have done in defense of our liberty and the virtue of putting service over self.

To serve the public through the collection, conservation, exhibition, and interpretation of significant works of art from a broad range of cultures and historical periods, and through the translation of these collections into meaningful educational, aesthetic, intellectual, and cultural experiences for the widest array of audiences.

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is America's national institution for the documentation, study, and interpretation of Holocaust history, and serves as this country's memorial to the millions of people murdered during the Holocaust. The Holocaust was the state-sponsored, systematic persecution and annihilation of European Jewry by Nazi Germany and its collaborators between 1933 and 1945. Jews were the primary victims --- six million were murdered; Gypsies, the handicapped, and Poles were also targeted for destruction or decimation for racial, ethnic, or national reasons. Millions more, including homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, Soviet prisoners of war, and political dissidents also suffered grievous oppression and death under Nazi tyranny. The Museum's primary mission is to advance and disseminate knowledge about this unprecedented tragedy; to preserve the memory of those who suffered; and to encourage its visitors to reflect upon the moral and spiritual questions raised by the events of the Holocaust as well as their own responsibilities as citizens of a democracy. Chartered by a unanimous Act of Congress in 1980 and located adjacent to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., the Museum strives to broaden public understanding of the history of the Holocaust through multifaceted programs: exhibitions; research and publication; collecting and preserving material evidence, art, and artifacts relating to the Holocaust; annual Holocaust commemorations known as the Days of Remembrance; distribution of educational materials and teacher resources; and a variety of public programming designed to enhance understanding of the Holocaust and related issues, including those of contemporary significance.

Connecting art to life. To achieve its mission, the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block preserves and interprets its collections of the Art of Latin America, Art of the American West, and Modern and Contemporary Art; cares for and interprets five significant El Presidio historic properties; and produces related exhibitions, education programs, and publications which expand understanding and appreciation of these unique community resources.
