To protect, preserve and interpret the martime heritage of the lower Merrimack Valley region and how it relates to American History

The Midwest Bus Museum was incorporated in January of 2020 with the purpose of preserving bus transportation history with an emphasis on North American school buses.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS FURTHER FORMED TO STUDY AMERICAN HISTORY AND THE CONCEPTS OF FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY. TO ACHIEVE THIS PURPOSE, THE ORGAN- IZATION OPENED A MUSEUM RELATING TO POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS, SOCIA

The mission of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is to tell the story of American law enforcement, honor the fallen and make it safer for those who serve.

The Norman Rockwell Museum illuminates the power of American illustration art to reflect and shape society, and advances the enduring values of kindness, respect, and social equity portrayed by Norman Rockwell.

The museum builds bridges of tolerance and understanding by sharing Jewish heritage through the lens of the American experience. It presents historical and contemporary stories of Jewish life and courage, and runs educational programs aimed at combating bias and promoting inclusion.

The National WWII Museum in New Orleans tells the story of the American experience in the war that changed the world—why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today—so that all generations will understand the price of freedom and be inspired by what they learn.

Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archives preserves the heritage and interprets the stories of the American Protestant Missionaries, their descendants, and their relationships with the people and cultures of Hawai`i, connecting with contemporary life, and encouraging a deeper understanding and appreciation of the complex history of Hawaiʻi.

By preserving the legacy of Joel Chandler Harris and the heritage of African American folklore through storytelling, tours and student publishing, the Wren’s Nest serves as an educational resource for the community, the greater Atlanta area and visitors from around the globe.

Winterthur preserves and interprets the decorative arts and landscapes assembled by Henry Francis du Pont, operating a large historic house museum, a naturalistic garden, and a research library. The institution cares for the collection, conducts scholarship and conservation, and provides exhibitions and educational programs to engage the public with American material culture.

They are working towards the goal of raising enough funding to erect a building to house the City of Owosso’s First Motorized Pumper, a 1921 American LaFrance Pumper (shown above) as a monument dedicated to the firefighters of Shiawassee County that have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This memorial will also serve as a museum celebrating the rich history of firefighting in Shiawassee County.

The Museum of Prairiefire Foundation (Museum at Prairiefire) is committed to innovative learning in science, the arts and natural history. Through a founding collaboration with the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, as well as with other cultural and educational institutions in the nation, the Museum at Prairiefire is a place that provides ACCESS FOR ALL to understand and celebrate natural history and science in our region and around the world. The MAP engages visitors and students of all ages with world-class exhibitions, important programming, and provides significant educational and STEAM opportunities for underserved children through KC Urban Advantage.
