Halton Learning Foundation's objective is to raise charitable funds to remove economic barriers to learning for students in need and support school initiatives. As each has its own community, students and families, fundraising revenues generated within a school varies from school to school. In a number of communities, school council/parents are unable to raise any significant amount of money to help with additional purchases above and beyond core education funding. Funds raised by the Halton Learning Foundation are available to help schools that need additional assistance. Funds raised by the Foundation are directed to eliminating barriers to learning for students and classroom enrichment; not to administration or capital projects. The Halton Learning Foundation is incorporated as a registered charity and as an independent body collaborating with the Halton District School Board.
