Hamilton Foundation for Student Success (formerly HWDSB Foundation)

The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board Foundation is the arm’s length charitable foundation of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. The Foundation is committed to enhancing the school experience by providing a welcoming and inclusive environment that nurtures personal achievement. Through the many donors and partners who support the HWDSB Foundation, we are able to provide many awards, scholarships and bursaries to students each year. We are also able to initiate programs and services that would otherwise not be possible through traditional resources.

THE LAKEHEAD LEARNING FOUNDATION

The Lakehead Learning Foundation was created in 2003 as an independent, charitable foundation dedicated to raising funds for Lakehead Public Schools students. Funds raised through the Foundation have been directed to graduating secondary students in the form of scholarships and to help fund the Grade 8 Awards of Excellence. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised funds through donations – Celebrations of Life (In Memory) and through an annual golf tournament.

CATARAQUI REGION CONSERVATION FOUNDATION

The Cataraqui Region Conservation Foundation raises funds to assist with the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority's conservation education and land acquisition programs. The Foundation has been the CRCA's fundraising arm for more than 40 years. The Foundation is a registered charitable organization with a formally-constituted board of directors and organization by-laws. The board elects its officers and maintains its records at the CRCA Administration Office in Kingston, Ontario. In 1994, the Foundation became a membership-based organization. Persons interested in the aims of the Foundation can make contributions to specific projects (for example, Partners-in-Education) and may purchase a tax-receiptable annual membership. The Quesnel Community Foundation is a public charity that gives grants to projects to help improve or address an issue in our community. We have a permanent Community Investment fund, which will never be spent. To date, we have given out $175,000 in grants to deserving community groups since we were founded in 2001.
