The Foundation’s mandate: To increase Science Literacy through the appreciation and interpretation of Earth sciences for students, teachers and the general public, enabling a more informed judgement of the validity and importance of current and future environmental issues.

The Edmonton Valley Zoo Revitalization Project has already begun with Phase I: a new Arctic Shores Exhibit opened in 2012 and Phase II: a new Entry Plaza and Wander currently under construction this year. “Nature’s Wild Backyard” will be Phase III of the revitalization and the Valley Zoo Development Society has committed to raising $9 million dollars for this Phase of construction that is likely to cost over $30 million dollars. The newly revitalized zoo will be a world-class facility and a leader in education and conservation.“Nature’s Wild Backyard” will be a place where the zoo’s youngest guests will have the opportunity to get up close and personal to experience the delight of watching, interacting and bonding with animals. Focused on learning through play, “NWB" will feature a make-believe veterinary hospital and underground tunnels that will allow guests to come face to face with prairie dogs and meerkats in their natural underground habitat.

C Magazine is an international art quarterly devoted to promoting critical discussion about contemporary art through in-depth essays and art criticism, interviews, artist projects and reviews. Based in Toronto, with contributors from around the world, C keeps contemporary art professionals and enthusiasts informed of significant ideas and trends in art and culture. C's publishing history is over 20 years strong, having published the first edition in 1984. Our long-term stability is dependent on the tremendous work of our volunteer board of directors, community volunteers and dedicated staff. We rely on the donations of those that support contemporary art and appreciate the need for journalistic diversity in the arts community. C magazine is published quarterly by C The Visual Arts Foundation, which has been a registered charity since 1997.

Food for the Poor Canada (FFPC) is an interdenominational, Christian charity whose purpose is to provide basic aid and sustainable development to those in need in Haiti and Jamaica. Our current focus is on education and health. With your help we are building schools and training teachers. We are feeding the hungry, building homes and providing healthcare to the sick. Food For The Poor Canada is an affiliated agency to Food For The Poor Inc. (USA), one of the largest international relief and development agencies in North America. Its programs are close to $1 billion dollars yearly with a 96% efficiency ratio. Food For The Poor Canada works with established partners in the region. These organizations are in charge of distribution of goods to churches, hospitals, schools and community leaders that work directly with the poor. They oversee and manage the construction of homes, water wells, schools, clinics and all other projects funded by FFP (USA) and FFPC.

Canada's oldest boarding and day school for young women, The Bishop Strachan School was founded in 1867 and named to honour Toronto's first Anglican Bishop. The Bishop Strachan School in Toronto, Ontario is a university prepatory school in the Anglican tradition enrolling girls in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12.

This charity primarily exists to help Canadians attend The Gow School in South Wales, N.Y. We have several scholarships dedicated to helping needy Canadian students attend Gow which is the oldest college prepatory boarding school for dyslexic students in North America. Since the founding of the school in 1926 hundreds of Canadians have been educated at Gow and we are dedicated to this continuing long into the future. In the wood-shop, wilderness and at sea in the boats participants grow themselves into a true ship's crew; putting those abilities to work for each other, for the Sea School, and for the community at large. We further build on this responsibility by enabling a clear path for older students train younger ones, for graduated students to become instructors, for young trainees and instructors to be referred to other training and employment experiences in our community and beyond. The Sea School is for everyone We know that people learn more from each other when they are not all alike and that every single youth is deserving of a Sea School experience. It is our commitment to not ever turn any youth away. To make this possible we provide more than 45% of our participants with bursary support.

Since 1981 Story Theatre has developed a reputation for excellence in theatre for young audiences. Travelling across Canada and internationally, Story Theatre delights audiences with its unique and infectious style of storytelling. In 2012-13Story Theatre is touring "Aladdin; the Secret Voyage!" and "The Great Beanstalk Conspiracy" to elementary schools and community theatres from St. John's, Nfld to Victoria, BC. Watch for "Hey, Bully...Bully!" in 2013-14.

The Priory School Foundation is a registered charity that is devoted to raising funds for The Priory School's continued development of innovative educational approaches so that it can maintain low tuition fees, small class sizes and personalized student care.

A Canadian institution with a national purpose, the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation is an independent and non-partisan charity. It was established in 2001 as a living memorial to the former prime minister by his family, friends, and colleagues. Through its Scholarship, Fellowship, Mentorship, and Public Interaction Programs, the Foundation supports outstanding individuals who make meaningful contributions to critical social issues.

The Clay Elliott Scholarship Foundation is dedicated to helping youth achieve their goals in education. What makes the foundation unique is that it awards scholarships based on the demonstration of the right attitude. At no time are transcripts used to evaluate a student. The Clay Elliott Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to students who are currently completing high school and are applying for a full-time under-graduate degree, college diploma or trade school certificate at an accredited Canadian post secondary institution. With the help of the local community, over the past five years, the Foundation has provided over $150,000.00 in scholarships to 78 students who have graduated from schools within Northumberland County.
