Guide Dog Users of Canada (GDUC) helps guide dog users to maximize the benefits of mobility with a guide dog so that they may participate more fully in Canadian society. Open to guide dog users and all those interested in furthering their cause, GDUC intends to become a voice for Canadian guide dog users and a centre of excellence on the activities, needs, and accomplishments of persons who are blind, partially sighted, or deaf-blind, and assisted by guide dogs. The Community Foundation of Nova Scotia is a public charitable foundation created by and for the people of Nova Scotia. We engage in three core activities: * we establish and maintain endowment funds on behalf of private donors, businesses, charities, and communities which, in turn, support registered charities and other eligible recipients within the province of NS; * we engage in strategic grant-making; and * we provide leadership with respect to a broad range of community issues, connecting people who care with causes that matter. We are a member of Community Foundations of Canada, which represents a network of 168 community foundations nationally, and who together hold close to $2.5 Billion in assets. In 2008, Canada's community foundations granted nearly $170 Million to organizations doing good work in our communities each and every day.

The Federation of Quebec Alzheimer Societies was founded in April 1986 by representatives of the first 5 existing Alzheimer Societies. Their objective was to unit forces and to be represented by a provincial body. Today the Federation units 20 local Alzheimer Societies who offer programs and services for people living with Alzheimer’s disease, their families and caregivers as well as healthcare and social care professionals located across Quebec. Since 1993, the Federation of Quebec Alzheimer Societies has signed an agreement with Alzheimer Canada joining other provinces of Canada.

The Chilliwack School Of Performing Arts (CSOPA) is the only non profit youth theatre company in Chilliwack and was incorporated as a society in 2001. CSOPA’s main focus is to provide youth, ages 3-18, with theatre training, including voice, dance and acting. Each year’s Mainstage Production runs 10+ shows and reaches over 3000 people. Past productions have included A Year With Frog and Toad, Seussical, Willy Wonka, Once Upon A Mattress, Once on This Island and Beauty and the Beast.
The Friends of Cypress Hills Park have built an Observatory complete with a 60 seat classroom and 14" Celetron Telescope, a playground, placed numerous memorial benches and interpretive signs, have established and maintain a recycle program, they host and provide all volunteers for an annual Canada Day breakfast, sponsor and organize the annual Ivan Eng Memorial Golf Tournament and purchase equipment for the beach as well as for park astronomy interpretive programs. The friends also provide donation and bequest management for donations received by the park or Friends for specific events including First Nations events.
PARC's goals are: -promoting awareness of CRPS through disseminating of information -supporting patients and their families through CRPS info, newsletter, a HELP LINE, self management program,etc -sponsoring and raising funds for research into the causes and control of CRPS
THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF OTTAWA is a registered non-profit charity that raises private funds to help students in need and at risk of school failure, attending schools in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. Children cannot learn if their basic needs are not met. Children come to school hungry every day. Many of our students face life challenges that place them at risk of school failure. Over 25% of Ottawa's children are living in poverty. We provide funding in emergency situations, for food and clothing, or medication, when a family is in financial crisis. The Foundation is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of business, education and community leaders, and chaired by Mr. Jim Orban, Publisher of the Ottawa Citizen. The Stream of Dreams Murals Society is a registered Canadian charity dedicated to educating people about the importance of conserving and protecting our water resources and endeavoring to inspire behavioral change to that end. Based at the beautiful Fraser River Discovery Centre, in New Westminster, BC, it delivers its award winning eco-education program about water and watersheds and their connection to the ocean and fish habitat. The Society presents its program primarily in elementary schools in Greater Vancouver and on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, and has trained teams to deliver its trademarked Stream of Dreams eco-education and community art program in other regions of BC, in Calgary, AB and several regions of Ontario.
Society members have the opportunity to share in the work of the society and it’s vision by assisting with fundraising, being an advocate for it’s work, and taking an active role in decision making. Members also have the opportunity to volunteer to travel to Tanzania to work with the local communities to fulfill their dreams of a brighter future.
