Family Services of Central Alberta is a non profit organization that provides preventative, supportive, and early intervention services throughout Central Alberta. Incorporated in 1971, our record for excellence and community service has been built on the delivery of accountable, innovative programs and services based on best practices. We have numerous community partnerships and offer services in over 16 communities in Central Alberta, serving a rapidly growing population of 260,000. We adhere to the accreditation standards of Family Service agencies of Canada, Healthy Families, Parent Link Centres and the Department of Justice.

The AIDS Committee of Durham is a volunteer driven, community-based, non-profit, charitable organization. We work in partnership with individuals and organizations that support, in principle or in practice, our mission and goals. We provide very practical assistance to HIV+ people in the form of financial assistance, food certificates, food bank, household goods, clothing, volunteer drivers, individual and group counselling, etc. All of these services are funded through community fundraising and donations!

People with disabilities are extremely limited in the range of sports and recreational activities available to them. For many, their participation in outdoor activities is limited to being a spectator, a passive onlooker. Sailing, long regarded as a symbol of freedom and independence, has been only a symbol for people without disabilities - until now. In the fall of 1994, twelve new sailors formed... the Disabled Sailing Association of Alberta (DSA Alberta) with the goal of establishing permanent sailing programs for children and adults with disabilities in Alberta. Now, after many seasons of successful operation, thousands of Albertans can say they've "Gone Sailing!" through DSA Alberta programs.

Since 1993, Mary, Mother of God School, an affordable, coeducational, independent school in the Catholic tradition, has been dedicated to providing an academically solid, well-balanced education in a joyful environment. Since the autumn of 2010, with the foundation of The Francis de Sales Centre, the school has begun to offer a high school education.

The Canadian Institute of Reading Recovery is a non-profit organization dedicated to the vision that children will be proficient readers and writers by the end of grade one.

The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame is a national charitable organization that serves as an enduring tribute to the Canadian men and women who, now and in the past, have contributed to the understanding of disease and the improved health and well being of people everywhere.

If you or someone you know is a survivor of sexual assault, we can help. We offer a 24 hour crisis and support line for survivors (female or male) of sexual violence, as well as friends and family members of survivors. The primary purpose of the organization is promote the art of the Brass Band, and to promote awareness of music to the general public. The organization also educates youth and promotes brass music to youth through its Youth Brass Band Camp. The organization's mission statement reads, “To bring joy, understanding and inspiration through the power of music."

Our mission is to entertain, engage, and enrich our community by offering diverse opportunities to create and experience the talent and impact of live theatre.

EDUCATE CHILDREN AND TEENS IN THE PERFORMING ARTS

The Arizona Friends of Chamber Music, founded in 1948, sustains interest in and knowledge of classical chamber music from around the world, supports the performance of old and recent works, sponsors the creation of new compositions, and presents professional artists to audiences and students in Southern Arizona.

Blue Bear School of American Music was founded by a rock band in the early '70's. Why not teach Rock instead of Bach, the Blues instead of Beethoven? Including solid music theory courses along with professional mentoring, electric Band Workshops and Songwriting courses, Blue Bear continues to offer high quality popular music education at affordable prices to music lovers of all ages. Scholarships are awarded annually to promising talent ages 12-22, funded by contributions from individuals, music industry professionals and businesses. Blue Bear has an active outreach programs serving at-risk kids in the Bayview and Tenderloin districts and runs after-school music programs at over 15 sites in San Francisco. Our mission statement is: Empowering people to play the music they love!
