THE MISSION OF THE WASHINGTON NATIONAL OPERA IS TO ADVISE, SUPPORT AND OVERSEE THE CONTINUED ARTISTIC QUALITY AND IMPACT OF THE WASHINGTON NATIONAL OPERA AT THE JOHN F. KENNEDY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS.

Mission: To engage people in the arts through educational programming, cultural experiences and entertainment. Vision Statement: To integrate the arts into community life. We believe that participating in the arts promotes creativity, entrepreneurship, and spiritual well-being which are essential for community and economic vitality. Our long-term goal is to insure a stable infrastructure and financial security for the organization. As the “heart of the arts” in Winnsboro, we will continue to work with the city and associated organizations to develop Winnsboro as a desirable destination for residents and visitors alike.

The mission of The Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory is to provide professional-level training, education, and performance experience in classical ballet and other dance forms for young students dedicated to the art of dance. The ultimate goal of the organization is to inspire, develop, and sustain a lasting appreciation of dance both for the artists in training as well as for our audience members of all ages.The Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory, a 501(c) non-profit organization, serves students, families, and audiences from western and central Connecticut while providing training for students from both the United States and abroad.The Nutmeg has been an important part of the Torrington, Connecticut community for almost 50 years since its founding in 1969, not only as a source of classical and contemporary dance training for thousands of young people, but also by providing cultural and artistic resources to the local community in the form of performances, demonstrations, and special events.
