The International Center for Journalists, a non-profit, professional organization, promotes quality journalism worldwide in the belief that independent, vigorous media are crucial in improving the human condition. With 30 years in the field, the International Center for Journalists has worked directly with more than 80,000 journalists from 180 countries. Aiming to raise the standards of journalism, ICFJ offers hands-on training, workshops, seminars, fellowships and international exchanges to journalists - professional and citizen - and media managers around the globe. At ICFJ, we believe in the power of journalism to promote positive change.

REFLECT at a time when art and architecture have become increasingly financial instruments. ‘T’ Space is dedicated to reflecting on the meanings of art and architecture, with the aim of educating the public by facilitating dialogue among living artists. COMMISSION new works and experimental collaborations. By commissioning artists, ‘T’ Space fosters hybrid combinations of new thought. EDUCATE through art, music and poetry. ‘T’ Space provides an enriched architectural education, including a summer architecture fellowship and academic tours. The Southern Oregon Film Society celebrates the diversity of human experience through the art of independent film - enriching, educating and inspiring audiences of all ages.Located in rural S. Oregon, the society's signature Ashland Independent Film Festival a 5-day spring festival of 100+ films (shorts, features, animations) & live art & music events gives audiences access to diverse under represented voices amplified by independent film. The organization holds a smaller program of international films annually in October, manages school programs, and hosts film and media events, lectures & classes year round in its Main Street Film Center. Regularly named as one of the best film festivals of its kinds (Movie Maker, Smithsonian magazines), AIFF started online film streaming in 2020.

Kartemquin Films is a home for independent filmmakers developing documentary as a vehicle to deepen our understanding of society through everyday human drama. Focusing on people whose lives are most directly affected by social and political change and who are often overlooked or misrepresented by the media, Kartemquin's films open up a dialogue, both in communities and between the general public and policymakers. Kartemquin documentaries are supported by civic engagement strategies that are developed with local and national partners to foster understanding, change thinking, and build support for social change. As a locally and nationally-recognized media arts organization, Kartemquin acts as a trusted bridge between communities and the media, fosters the growth of emerging filmmaking voices passionate about social issues and media policy, and encourages staff and stakeholders to play a role in advocating for a strong public media.

Founded in 1973 by community and student activists under the name University Community Video, the organization employed the powerful tool of video art and technology to elicit community dialogue, inspire social change and empower people to tell their own stories. Over time, we evolved and embraced a range of artistic media, changing our name in the 1980s and growing into one of the nation?s premier community-based arts centers. We receive recognition for our success engaging the power of the arts to increase social connections between people from different social, economic and ethnic groups. Our multi-disciplinary art programs inspire people to make changes in their lives and communities. By stimulating broader civic dialogue and by giving voice to the issues and experiences of underrepresented communities, we contribute to a stronger, healthier society. Intermedia Arts presents and supports the creation of the highest quality artistic work created through an authentic, community-engaged process. We place particular emphasis on empowering underrepresented communities by providing space, support and recognition of the rights of specific communities to assert their place in cultural life. We encourage authentic expression of individual cultural values, stories and histories - in their own words, in their own ways.
