apfa is dedicated to creating a dynamic centre where families gather together, connect with each other, & strengthen family relationships. apfa offers something for everyone by: -increasing parents' confidence in their parenting through a variety of programs -increasing parents' knowledge of early childhood development -promoting positive parent-child interaction holding special events for families -promoting healthy childhood growth and development and increasing the family's support system -providing new parents with in-home support education and resources to pregnant women and women with newborns -connecting families in the community -providing opportunities for hands-on parent/child activities -providing programs "just for dads" -helping families find the specialized support they need from other agencies and organizations -providing information on other community resources -promoting inter-generational connections to strengthen family connections

The Township of Woolwich was established in its present configuration by the Regional Municipality of Waterloo Act 1972, which created a regional government structure and established limits of the local municipalities in Waterloo area effective January 1, 1973. Woolwich Township is made up of 10 small communities and has a population of 26,000. The township's three largest settlements are Elmira, St. Jacobs (home base for the national Home Hardware chain), and Breslau, where the Region of Waterloo International Airport is located. With Woolwich's substantial population of Old Order Mennonite families, it is also not unusual to see horse-drawn buggies and farm equipment alongside suburban vehicles.

The Valley Hospice Foundation was formed in response to the growing demand for hospice beds and the need to improve the support available to families dealing with end of life issues. "Hospice" will meet the needs of an aging population, and the high rate of life limiting illnesses among the people living in the Valley.

Founded in 2008, our goal is to connect compassionate people with well run programs supporting orphans and at-risk kids in the United States and around the globe.

Since 1984, Environmental Defence has been inspiring change by connecting people with environmental issues that affect their daily lives in their homes, workplaces and neighbourhoods.

Sanid organization for relief and development has been striving to create better living standard for all categories of the population with particular emphases on women, children, youth and people with special needs in partnership with the local and international NGOs, in accordance with humanitarian principles, high quality and excellent values.

Our programs and services support people to achieve meaningful participation in the workforce, and in day-to day-life in the community. We have programs that support adults with disabilities, mental health population, at-risk youth, mature workers, 50 years or older and anyone facing barriers to employment.

Water to Thrive provides clean safe water to rural African communities by connecting donors, sponsors, congregations, schools and community groups directly to communities in need.

CHIMO Community Services prevents tragedies and saves lives; strengthens individuals, families and communities; connects people with needed community resources; and builds bridges of understanding.

The Family Support Institute believes that families are the experts when it comes to their children. We believe that all people have gifts, strengths and much to contribute to society. At FSI we connect families with each other and encourage parent-to-parent support. At the Family Support Institute we have over 220 Resource Parents (RP's) that we provide training to each year. Every one of our Resource Parents have children with disabilities and they call on their own expertise and experiences when supporting other families. Our RP's agree to volunteer for FSI and connect with other families looking for support in their regions. Our office will facilitate parent-to-parent connections as well as support families through information and referral and connections to regional and Provincial supports and services. FSI also provides Provincial training and workshops for families and professionals around the province. We also have a lending library with books and videos available on loan.

Our work inspires a vital re-connection between people and nature, community and oneself. We work primarily with children and families in the urban context. Our summer programs now include day and overnight camps in Muskoka as well as Toronto, and a regional training course for adults with a focus on nature connection, mentoring, community building and intergenerational learning. We currently work with over 1800 people per year, with over 500 in long term mentoring relationships where we support children to grow into healthy, active, and resilient people. Our goal is to inspire nature connection in childhood, and long term mentoring relationships to communities all across Ontario.
