Operation Realife is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) humanitarian nonprofit that delivers emergency aid and basic necessities to displaced and vulnerable populations — with a current emphasis on food, clean water, and medical support for people in Gaza. The organization coordinates local distributions and partners to provide both immediate relief and longer-term assistance.

CONNECTRA works in partnership with people who have physical disabilities to reduce the barriers that may limit them in the contribution of their skills and abilities to the community. Our goal is to connect people with physical disabilities to the community at large on a number of levels. We create connections by encouraging and facilitating a range of interactions beginning with social and recreational activities, followed by work and volunteering. Establishing positive interactions reduces isolation and generates self-confidence, motivation and self-esteem. CONNECTRA succeeds based on the fact that people with physical disabilities have a lot to contribute to their communities. A lot happens when people connect with each other. New ideas and opportunities become known. Help and support comes from people and places that were not previously available and enables individuals to pursue - and achieve - their goals and dreams.

Torture is not a modern day phenomenon; it has been practiced almost from the beginning of civilization. Torture is now illegal under both national and international law. There are United Nations agreements dealing specifically with torture. (The United Nations Convention Against Torture came into force on June 26, 1987). Even so, modern day torture is widespread and systematically practiced in two-thirds of the countries in the world. Torture is used to intimidate, punish and control a population. It is a form of punishment, a means of coercion and results in the degradation and dehumanization of individuals and the disenfranchisement of the population. It is used to suppress dissent and generally takes place within a context of tyranny, political violence and repression.

SurfAid International is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health, well-being and self-reliance of people living in isolated communities connected to us through surfing.

There are one million orphans in Ethiopia, many of them fending for themselves. AIDS incidence in the general population is about one in six persons and the epidemic is growing. A similar proportion of children orphaned by AIDS is also infected with HIV. There are about 120,000 new cases of HIV infection among children each year. The country is overwhelmed by the needs of their orphans.

Mustard Seed Communities (MSC) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to caring for the most vulnerable populations in society. Founded in 1978, MSC provides care to children and adults with physical and mental disabilities, children affected by HIV/AIDS, teenage mothers, impoverished families, and marginalized communities throughout Jamaica, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Zimbabwe.

CWEFT's mission is to empower underprivileged children, women, and families through holistic education and training. This type of educational support for people of all ages and in a wide variety of situations provides the tools and skills necessary for the most destitute and at-risk populations of Thailand to break the cycle of poverty and improve the quality of life for individuals, families, and communities for generations to come.

The British Columbia Conservation Foundation (BCCF) was founded and incorporated under the Society Act of British Columbia in 1969, by the Directors of the BC Wildlife Federation, to contribute significantly to the perpetuation and expansion of fish and wildlife populations through the efficient implementation of projects in the field. We are a federally registered charity dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of British Columbia's ecosystems and species.
