The Humane Society Of Rochester And Monroe County for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Inc. was founded in 1873. Since the 1950's the Society has been known as Lollypop Farm, its name coming from the then popular Shirley Temple song - On the Good Ship Lollipop. Our mission is to build lifelong bonds between people and animals through education, community outreach programs, and the prevention of cruelty.  We envision a time when our community celebrates the human-animal bond; embraces the mutual benefits therein; and treats all fellow beings with care, compassion and respect.

Thirst Project is a nonprofit organization that works with the support of young people to END the global water crisis by building freshwater wells in developing communities that need safe, clean drinking water, vital to health and sanitation. The Thirst Project seeks to provide health and sanitation. As waterborne diseases kill more children every single year than HIV, Malaria, and all world violence combined. And small children are at significant risk, as they typically do not have strong enough immune systems to fight diseases like cholera, dysentery, or schistosomiasis. By providing a community with safe drinking water, disease rates can drop by up to 88% virtually overnight! Child mortality rates can drop up to 90%- overnight! Likewise, the time children spend collecting water keeps them from going to school and getting an education. Women and children spend on average six to eight hours each day walking to fetch water. The average distance that women and children in developing communities walk to fetch water is 3.75 miles. The Thirst Project makes clean water accessible, lowers health risks and empowers children's education.

The Foundation was established in 1993 using private funds from the old Children’s Aid Society of Central MB. Because of its close association with Child and Family Services of Central Manitoba, Inc. the Foundation has made a priority of funding many programs and services operated by the Agency. However, applications are open to other organizations who meet the funding criteria of the Foundation. With the financial base provided by the private fund, the support of local United Ways and generous donations, the Foundation supports children and families across the Central Region by funding educational and recreational opportunities for children, post secondary education for former wards of CFS, and by funding an annual Christmas party for foster children and their families.

Serving the northern areas of Grey and Bruce Counties in Ontario, Canada since 1954. Our services reach more than 600 individuals and families each year. We provide government funded services and services that are funded through public donations. We cover all age groups from infants to seniors. The non government services include: Camp subsidy for children with developmental needs, respite services for caregivers, support groups for Moms, Dads, Grandparents and Self Advocates, and we have annual public awareness campaigns.

Currently we are accepting donations supporting the teams competing for the BEST SPELLERS cup in the 2012 GRATE GROAN UP SPELLING BEE. Proceeds from this event will support Wyndham House in Guelph, the Guelph Wish Fund and a Community kitchen in El Carizal, Nicaragua.

We build long-term relationships with airlines, who provide Airlink with access to airlift to harness the power and speed of aviation to deliver humanitarian aid and responders in the wake of natural or man-made disasters. Airlink ensures the right aid gets to communities in need at the right time.
