The Doorway is not just about getting young people off the street. It is designed as an environment which seeks to discover, understand and communicate the factors which indicate the need for social change in our community.
Everett Koeller founded the Charitable Foundation of the Family in 1989 as an avenue to perform grass roots work in our community. His objective remains today as we strive to maximize donors’ contributions to helping those in need of our help. Over the years the Charitable Foundation of the Family has been able to focus its charitable giving to helping those that were not being helped by other community resources. The foundation is committed to maintaining flexible funding criteria to fill the gaps left by other welfare organizations that have understandably more specific program criteria. Our objective is to assist based on a real need and not on on specific criteria. Our supporters are made up of family, friends, business associates and those that believe in the work we are doing.
