The New Israel Fund family is a worldwide partnership dedicating itself to safeguard civil and human rights, bridge social and economic gaps, foster tolerance for all Israelis, and create an environment for Judaism in all its forms to thrive. We work closely with SHATIL, NIF’s capacity building arm, who provides hundreds of non-profit organizations with consulting and workshops in organizational development, leadership training, coalition building, conflict management, media relations, needs assessment, resource development and volunteer management. Our projects stress a grass-roots approach empowering some of Israel’s most disadvantaged groups such as Ethiopian Israelis, Bedouin women and the disabled. New Israel Fund is the leading organization of its kind in Israel. With 30 years of experience, it is no surprise that Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz wrote: “There is hardly any significant socially-oriented organization in Israel today that does not owe its existence to the NIF."
