STATEMENT OF PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS: ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE: Education - to raise and distribute resources in support of post-primary female education in underserved areas of Pakistan

Kaeme works to eliminate barriers to placing an orphanage-housed child into a home, offering more children the chance to grow up in a loving family. Our mission is to build families and protect vulnerable children in orphanages in Ghana. Our vision is for every child in an orphanage to find a healthy loving family.

We serve survivors of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo utilizing a holistic healing model that combines medical treatment with psychosocial support, community reintegration activities, and access to legal services.

Pathstone Mental Health is the only accredited provider of children’s mental health treatment in Niagara. We offer a broad spectrum of treatment services and programs, delivered by highly qualified staff to strengthen children and families. We serve all children and youth from birth through to their 18th birthday.

Marianhill has been a well-reputed part of the community since 1954 and has continually worked to provide new and innovative services to the elderly residents of Renfrew County. We have been an accredited Health Facility since 1989 and we continue to strive to meet the standards of excellence. Several of our services are only offered at our facility including Palliative Care and our Day Program for seniors and developmentally challenged individuals.

Participation House Support Services - London and Area is a non-profit, community-based organization providing assistance to people with significant physical and/or developmental disabilities to reach their full potential in the community. It is committed to encouraging and creating an inclusive community where individuals with disabilities have access to all the community has to offer and are included in a valued and meaningful way.

Reena is a not for profit organization that is dedicated to enriching the lives of people with developmental disabilities. Our clients are some of the communities’ most vulnerable members. Reena provides support through residential services such as group homes and apartments, day programs to teach important life skills to people with developmental disabilities and vital respite services to families that are trying to cope with caring for a loved one at home. These individuals are far too easily neglected as someone else’s problem.

Our Values: 1. RESPECT for the dignity and goodness of each person as a unique creation. This organization will demonstrate flexibility in its dealings with those we serve. 2. RESPECT for the capacity of each of us to embrace the challenge of human existence. We encourage those we serve to take responsibility for their own lives; we try to empower by assisting them to make informed choices for themselves. 3. A FIRM CONVICTION that out of poverty comes creativity, new life and growth. We reach out, recognizing that the poor are not in need of 'fixing', 'saving' or 'rescuing'. Growth comes from journeying with those we serve, not in doing for them. 4. The importance of EDUCATION as the key to change. Education takes many forms. Those who are malnourished most of their lives often have special needs; secondary school, university, apprenticeships, as well as special education for severe learning disabilities such as deafness and blindness are all strategies we pursue.

MA Fondation to the rescue In Quebec, there are organizations that do outstanding work with young victims of violence. MA Fondation hardly seeks to take their place. Rather, it wishes to support their work by providing financial assistance. More specifically, MA Fondation provides assistance to two institutions renowned for their work with abused children: * the UHC Sanite-Justine’s Sociolegal Clinic, which meets the medial and social needs of victims of physical and sexual maltreatment. * the Fondation Marie-Vincent and, by the same token, the Marie-Vincent Expertise Centre, which provides police, medical, psychosocial and sociolegal services to victims of sexual abuse and their parents.

PEDAL’s programs include: • Education and training to ride and repair bicycles • Refurbishing, reusing and recycling bicycles and accessories • Free bikes for people in need • Reaching out to youth, women and marginalized communities • Facilitating pedal powered lifestyles PEDAL’s operations in Vancouver include: • Our Community Bikes! - 3283 Main St – A community bike centre where people repair their own bicycles, bicycle recycling services and training programs • Pedal Depot - 1830 Ontario St – Bicycle recycling services and training programs • Training classes at various local schools.
