MA Fondation to the rescue In Quebec, there are organizations that do outstanding work with young victims of violence. MA Fondation hardly seeks to take their place. Rather, it wishes to support their work by providing financial assistance. More specifically, MA Fondation provides assistance to two institutions renowned for their work with abused children: * the UHC Sanite-Justine’s Sociolegal Clinic, which meets the medial and social needs of victims of physical and sexual maltreatment. * the Fondation Marie-Vincent and, by the same token, the Marie-Vincent Expertise Centre, which provides police, medical, psychosocial and sociolegal services to victims of sexual abuse and their parents.
PEDAL’s programs include: • Education and training to ride and repair bicycles • Refurbishing, reusing and recycling bicycles and accessories • Free bikes for people in need • Reaching out to youth, women and marginalized communities • Facilitating pedal powered lifestyles PEDAL’s operations in Vancouver include: • Our Community Bikes! - 3283 Main St – A community bike centre where people repair their own bicycles, bicycle recycling services and training programs • Pedal Depot - 1830 Ontario St – Bicycle recycling services and training programs • Training classes at various local schools.
