The aim of Shaping Bright Futures is to build compassionate partnerships between families whose needs are consistently met and children in countries affected by conflict and widespread poverty. We are dedicated to bringing hope to these children through the provision of basic essentials such as education, life skills, nourishing food, and drinkable water. SBF harnesses the resources and generosity of families in developed nations and delivers these gifts of compassion to those who need them most. The work of SBF also empowers both the donors and recipients with the knowledge that thoughtful and caring actions can have a positive global impact.

OLTA supports the efforts of 35 land trusts across Ontario. Fuelled by more than 100,000 volunteers, OLTA members have conserved over 80,000 acres across Ontario - and their impact continues to grow. Land trusts are locally-based, often volunteer-led, charities that work tirelessly to conserve special lands and waters in their communities - forever. Established and driven by community members, land trusts are well positioned to work with private landowners and other local stakeholders to realize shared conservation objectives and help build a nature legacy for current and future generations to enjoy.

Viet Dreams is a 501(c)(3) charity non-profit organization founded by musicians, artists, and music enthusiasts who all share a common goal - to provide disadvantaged children in Vietnam and United States with better educational opportunities and a more healthy, sustainable way of living. It is our duty to provide these children with vital medical supplies and educational assistance so that they may live better lives and one day fulfill their dreams. 100% of every dollar donated goes to our projects. Some of our projects include donating bicycles and helmets, granting scholarships, medical supplies, workshops and most recently, providing access to clean drinking water , which will reduce water-borne illness among children. Our organization also collaborates with local networks and other non-profit organizations such as Hope for Tomorrow, ICAN, Friends of Vinh Son, Fund for Vietnam, Children of Vietnam and Because Vietnam in order to successfully create an environment where every child is safe, self-sufficient, and able to pursue their education. But what sets our organization apart is our unwavering commitment and passion. We are devoted to giving these children a healthier lifestyle and a promising educational future. Our efforts are focused on children living in the poorer, rural areas of Vietnam. We do not discriminate among ethnic backgrounds, religions, minorities or medical circumstances. Every child deserves our assistance. We use our musical talents to raise the necessary funds to support our projects. The majority of our funding coming from benefit concerts, auctions, sponsors, and selling CDs and various artworks. We hope that our efforts and commitment will serve as a powerful reminder that there are many children in Vietnam who still need our help. Hands of Hope Foundation is designed to operate and develop faith based communities that will function on a local, national, and international level to provide financial and/or direct assistance to individuals, families, and other organizations in meeting a wide variety of needs to include: short term housing, medical care, education assistance, drinkable water, food and clothing; as well as a place of respite for Ministers and their families. Offering Hope in Christ in the spirit of 1 Peter 3:15. Our current projects include: educational services in Liberia, Bulgaria, and Thailand. Medical clinic in Weala, Liberia. 5 new churches in Pattaya, Thailand.

At the Center for Biological Diversity, we believe that the welfare of human beings is deeply linked to nature — to the existence in our world of a vast diversity of wild animals and plants. Matthew 25 Ministries helps durng disasters as well as the poor locally, nationally and internationally by rescuing overstocked or shghtly damaged products frorn corocrations manufacturers, hospital and individuals. The mission of Matthew 25: Ministries is to fulfill Matthew 25:34-40 of the New Testament by providing nutritional food to the hungry, clean water to the thirsty, clothing to the naked, affordable shelter to the homeless, medical care to the ill, and humanitarian supplies to those in need. Additionally, Matthew 25: Ministries is committed to fulfilling Matthew 25:40 by educating the public on the conditions and needs of the “least of these” and by providing resources for action.

Thank you for supporting our NEW TRAINING CENTRE for our 1,000 volunteer marine rescuers. You are helping to give our volunteer crews the best training possible so that they can provide great service to the public -- and get home safe. RCM-SAR provides marine rescue service in more than 40 communities in British Columbia. The training centre, near Victoria, will be home to our rescue vessel simulator, on-water navigation and seamanship training, advanced first aid, communications, leadership, and other important courses. Manitoba Eco-Network is an umbrella for non-governmental environmental groups in Manitoba. We provide information and resources to our member groups and the public. We operate an environmental library, conduct public workshops and publish the Eco-Journal - providing people with the information they need to take action for the environment, as well as undertaking projects and providing a volunteer referral service. Our current projects include Climate Change Connection, a GIS/Mapping Centre, a Water Caucus, Organic Lawn Care Education and the Manitoba Environmental Youth Network. Manitoba Eco-Network is a regional affiliate of the Canadian Environmental Network.

Founded in 1963, Oxfam Canada is a non-profit international development organization that supports community programmes in food security, health, nutrition and democratic development with an emphasis on women's rights. Oxfam also responds in times of humanitarian crises with a particular focus on emergency water and sanitation. We are a member-based organization. Members help to formulate our direction, participate in governing bodies and elect representatives to the Board of Directors. Oxfam Canada is one of 17 affiliate organizations around the world that make up the Oxfam confederation. Together we are working to tackle the root causes of poverty, social injustice and inequality.

Donations received on CanadaHelps will be committed to the Foundation's collaboration with "Maison de la Gare" of Saint Louis, Senegal. Tens of thousands of "talibé" children beg on the streets of Senegal's cities for 6 to 10 hours each day for their food and for money to give to the "teacher" who controls them. They live under unconscionable conditions, without access to running water, rudimentary hygiene or nurture, often without shelter and subject to severe abuse. Maison de la Gare works within this situation to improve the taibés' living conditions and to give them hope of becoming productive participants in Senegalese society.

We help install and monitor barrier fencing and culverts to reduce road mortality of amphibians in coastal British Columbia. We monitor how well these mitigation efforts work to improve habitat connectivity. We also help protect wetlands from habitat destruction, pollution, invasive species, and disease. We share information and promote stewardship of wetland habitats through public slideshows, workshops, school programs and by providing scientific advice to land owners and local planning departments. We highlight the connection between productive wetland habitat, water quality and human health in our presentations.
