WIAIH is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization that works to increase opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism, strengthen their families and sensitize the community. Created in 1958 by concerned parents, WIAIH takes a leadership role in advocacy and provides programs designed to increase independence and empower over 800 people that depend on WIAIH annually.

THE CENTER FOR EPILEPSY AND SEIZURE EDUCATION BRITISH COLUMBIA

The Center for Epilepsy was originally founded as the Fraser Valley Epilepsy Society in 1998 by a group of dedicated parents, support workers, health-care providers and other caregivers. Our board members include those who live with epilepsy, parents of children with epilepsy and several doctors who specialize in neurological disorders. We are dedicated to creating and providing support, information, and education to families and individuals who live with epilepsy their support staff, educational personnel, friends, co-workers, health care providers and anyone else affected by epilepsy. To educate children and adults who witness a seizure not to be afraid, provide them with the essential information and first aid skills that will furnish them with the self-confidence to correctly manage a seizure.

Forest Trust for the Children of Cortes Island Society

The Forest Trust for the Children of Cortes Island Society has been formed to purchase Island Timberlands forest land holdings immediately adjacent to Carrington Bay Park on Cortes Island, British Columbia, Canada. These forest lands will be held in trust for all the children of Cortes Island, in perpetuity. They will offer educational, recreational, cultural and spiritual value for all our children. They will provide the opportunity for our youth to embrace and practise stewardship of forest lands and watersheds. Parcel Identification The parcels of land that have been identified for purchase (shown below) are: NW ¼ S38, NE ¼ S38, NW ¼ S39, NE ¼ S39 and portion of SW ¼ S39. These lands border the southern shores of Carrington Lagoon and share their northern boundary with Carrington Bay Park, providing critical connectivity at the landscape level for Carrington Bay and Carrington Lagoon.

THE FOUNDATION FOR COMMUNITY LIVING OWEN SOUND AND DISTRICT

Serving the northern areas of Grey and Bruce Counties in Ontario, Canada since 1954. Our services reach more than 600 individuals and families each year. We provide government funded services and services that are funded through public donations. We cover all age groups from infants to seniors. The non government services include: Camp subsidy for children with developmental needs, respite services for caregivers, support groups for Moms, Dads, Grandparents and Self Advocates, and we have annual public awareness campaigns.
