We plan to take 2 kids a year coming from a rehab center and send them on a wilderness camp journey followed by a career working on films or they can go into the culinary world. We have some of the best mentors which will be coaching them along the way. These mentors have been through the same history and are now millionaires with great insight.
PAL Canada® is the national umbrella organization, linking the eight (at present) PAL Chapters in Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Stratford, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. Membership in PAL implies a commitment to PAL’s mandate, which is to provide assistance to older, disabled or needy members and associates of Canada’s Performing Arts Community, in the areas of health, well-being and affordable accommodation. Our continuing goal is to establish Chapters in every centre where numbers warrant so that older colleagues are cared for at the end of their careers by, and in, their own community. Each Chapter is autonomous and is represented on the Board of PAL Canada®. Membership in a Chapter automatically includes membership in PAL Canada®.
Creating a Community Commons The Gabriola Commons is a place where sustainability, community and agriculture meet. The Gabriola Commons, located on Gabriola Island, a northern Gulf Island in the Salish Sea, features 26 acres of peaceful rural landscapes. The property includes connecting pathways, open vistas, meditative spaces, vibrant community gardens, learning and meeting spaces for the use and enjoyment of the public. Your donation supports the creation of a unique and distinct “community commons”: land and facilities meeting community needs; engaging and celebrating community participation; providing the community with agricultural, environmental, recreational and social benefits. The Gabriola Commons is a place for everyone.
The organization directs the resources of its donors and partners by using the following key practices: 1. Identifying, creating and managing projects that match specific regional needs such as literacy, health, clean water, food systems and employment 2. Ensuring indigenous community ownership and delivery of all projects, while respecting local culture 3. Inculcating all initiatives with measurement, transparency, accountability, sustainability and exit strategies 4. Adherence to a core belief that systemic change takes place one person at a time and one community at a time.

YOUR SUPPORT. OUR MISSION. THEIR VICTORY. THEM They are women. They are struggling. They need help. Whether it be women who are abused, women dealing with addiction problems or drug abuse, women who are homeless or afflicted by a disease, they all have a story to tell. But they want to get their lives back on track. US Our primary mission is to help women in need. To do that, we will establish corporate programs and fundraising events to support the activities of organizations which come to the aid of women who have had difficult pasts, lived through traumatic events or have other major problems. Our vision is to encourage women to take charge of the present and build for the future. This can be accomplished through structure and support. YOU Whatever your contribution, you can make a great difference in the lives of these women in need by helping them to regain confidence in themselves and in life, regain their autonomy and dignity and take their rightful place in society
Through the establishment of a joint partnership agreement with Bolivian grassroots organization, Fundación Niños con Valor, BCF implements programs and projects that aim to alleviate poverty and its effects suffered by children and their families. These currently include residential programs for children who have been orphaned, abandoned or removed from high-risk situations. In the future, we hope to expand and include outreach programs to help stabilize at-risk-families, and community programs aimed at establishing new and supporting existing educational and health programs specifically benefiting mothers and children.
Alberta Tomorrow is a free on-line land-use simulator that helps users understand the complex relationship between land-use and a set of environmental and socio-economic factors. Using cutting edge GIS technology and satellite imagery, Alberta Tomorrow is an effective tool in creating a sustainable future.
