Agua Para La Vida is a non-governmental organization which has been helping small rural communities in Nicaragua construct their own drinking water systems since 1987. Originally a California-based group that provided technical assistance, support and volunteers working directly with the Nicaraguan communities, it now supports the development of a local team of technicians capable of taking over all aspects of the work: selection of projects, design, collaboration with and training of the beneficiaries, supervision of the construction, maintenance and hygiene education, and ultimately the ability to secure its own funding. This indigenous organization, Programa Agua Para La Vida, has ten full-time Nicaraguan staff and non-profit status.

OUR BELIEF is that we can empower people to raise themselves from extreme poverty by coming alongside them as partners to share each other’s burdens, resources, and solutions.OUR MISSION is to build partnerships between villages in the developed world and villages in Malawi to bring about life-changing development for all.OUR METHOD is to work with local development experts in Malawi to implement programs designed to simultaneously address the inter-connected web of root causes of extreme poverty: lack of access to clean water, food insecurity, poor health care, inadequate education, insufficient infrastructure, and lack of economic opportunities.OUR MOTIVATION is to respond to the call of Jesus Christ to love and serve the poor, the hungry, the widowed and the orphaned.

Friends of Be an Angel provides funding for humanitarian aid & evacuations. Its mission is to support Ukrainian refugee and rescue efforts implemented by the German & Moldovan NGO Be An Angel in partnership with other humanitarian groups including Women’s Movement for the Future. Together, we evacuate Ukrainians, especially the vulnerable--children, elderly, disabled & seriously ill. The partnership also delivers direct aid to Ukraine including food, clean water, medical equipment, supplies and medications, clothing, blankets and more--all the way to the front lines. Friends of Be an Angel was set up to give American individuals, foundations & companies the opportunity to support this extraordinary rescue and aid work on the ground in Ukraine during the Russian-led war and occupation.

We are a national, First Nation-directed environmental non-profit organization with charitable status. We were established in 1994 by a group of First Nation leaders from across Canada. These leaders recognized the need for First Nations to have the capacity to solve environmental problems affecting their lands and resources. Through our programs, we: ~ take action on climate change, ~ build sustainable communities, ~ protect lands and waters, and ~ conserve biodiversity. We create and put into action sustainable solutions to address First Nations' environmental issues. We take an integrated approach that includes multiple perspectives and fosters collaborative relationships. We would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about what we do.

We have been serving mothers, children and youth since the 1920's. At Scugog, people from marginalized families who might not otherwise have an opportunity can enjoy summer camp. At Lake Scugog Camp we all have the opportunity to learn about nature, God's presence in our lives, as well as supporting and sharing in each others lives. We offer this in a warm, caring community that supports growth, stability and the strengthening of family life. Our programs offer a variety of land/water activities, chapel, campfires, special days and more. Our Leadership Program supports youth in becoming valuable camp staff, strong leaders and effective employable members of their own community.

The Oldman Watershed Council, or OWC, is a community-based, not-for-profit that works with everyone to find practical solutions to environmental challenges that impact us all. People depend on a healthy environment but we also need a healthy economy and we have social and cultural needs too. Everything is connected so we must work together to make trade-offs, solve problems, plan for the future and have the quality of life we want right now. It takes time and effort to work collaboratively but OWC is building a new way of managing our water and land where we all do our part, work together and think long term. We believe it's worth the investment.

Our mission is to promote sustainable village development in partnership with Cambodian people by helping to provide clean water, sanitation, educational opportunities, health care from birth onwards, improved nutrition, and economic empowerment. We work to increase awareness of environmental and social responsibility within families and communities by helping provide the necessary tools for villagers to improve their quality of life; feel pride and reach their highest potential. From Books to Brilliance provides access to books and educational materials in impoverished communities. Countless children in our world grow up with no books. In Nicaragua and Guatemala, many of the rural poor live on less than one dollar a day. Without access to basic services such as potable water and sanitation, families struggle just to survive each day. Books are rarely found. At the local schools, teachers plan lessons and instruct with no textbooks. Children fortunate enough to attend school learn to read from words written on the blackboard, but without books cannot read to learn. Few children reach their intellectual potential. We believe that in creating access to books and information, a better future becomes possible for citizens living in abject poverty.

Through our partners, Partners International shares and demonstrates God's love in the world's difficult places, often in a context of poverty. We feed children, help women start small businesses, provide clean water and establish churches that will care for entire villages. Partners International offers Canadians an opportunity to share their resources in support of this important work. The effectiveness of our ministry rests on healthy relationships with our global partners. For us, healthy partnerships include mutual accountability and a dynamic inter-dependence. SOS depends on community volunteers and community contributions to help protect, preserve and enhance the Seine River Environment through education, awareness and hands-on participation. Your contribution assists SOS in enabling all citizens to reconnect with their local environment. The Goals of Save Our Seine: 1. Preserve, protect and enhance the natural environment & heritage resource of the Seine River. 2. Restore & repair features of the environment that have been degraded. 3. Improve water level, flow & quality 4. Raise the public's awareness of all aspects of the Seine River 5. Improve the environmental behavior of private industry, governments and the general public 6. Improve appropriate public access along the Seine River (by low-impact nature trail & by canoe)

Silver Lake’s 150 acres of bush, meadows and wetland is located south of Sauble Beach just off the beaches of Lake Huron. The camp has access to two lakes: Silver Lake and Hidden Lake. For swimming we have created an “old swimming hole” style pond beside the lake. New in 2009, the pond was equipped with a water trampoline and a zipline both of which were the talk of the summer! Campers stay in cabins or tents as groups of ten to twelve, with two or three counselors supervising each group. Our dedicated staff range from high school seniors to university students. All our staff have first aid training and in a case of emergency two hospitals are only 15 minutes away.
