Gamiing Nature Centre has an interesting history of indigenous settlement and European colonization. In 1984 the Schipper family purchased the 100 acre abandoned farm on the west shore of Pigeon Lake. To protect the land from development it was put in Trust with the Kawartha Land Trust in 2002 to preserve it in perpetuity to keep it available as an environmental education site for our and future generations. This was the first gift to the Kawartha Land Trust. The family re-established the original forest by allowing the land to revert to its natural state. With planting stock provided by MNR and the help of family, friends and volunteers, hundreds of native trees were planted on the property.Gamiing Nature Centre was established as a charitable organization in 2000,with a Board of Directors to guide the activities on the property. That name was chosen to honour those who lived on the land before us and to indicate our location along the shore.See www.gamiing.org

The Shikuri Project Charitable Trust's mission is to reduce the horrendously high rates of child deaths and suffering from sickle cell disease in sub Saharan Africa by training community health workers and providing a sustainable, diagnosis, medical care and caregiver education system.

The Land Conservancy of BC is modeled after the National Trust in Britain. It is a membership based Trust which protects land for natural, heritage, cultural, scenic and recreational values. Since its founding in 1997 TLC has protected over 150,000 acres on more than 300 properties throughout BC. TLC owns ranchland, forests, important salmon spawning areas, the world famous Abkhazi Garden, Wildwood EcoForestry Site, the Ross Bay Villa Heritage site and even a nursing colony for rare Townsend Bats. TLC is membership driven and has over 500 active volunteers in communities across British Columbia.

One of Mahindra Foundation, USA's objectives is to seek global support for the education of under-privileged girl children in India. It proposes to support the education of these girls through Project Nanhi Kali which is currently managed by the K. C. Mahindra Education Trust in Mumbai, India

Our services are provided by a small team known to our users and with whom they develop a trusting relationship. Daily collaboration between family physicians, midwife, nurse, social worker, educator and psycho educator allows complete monitoring of early pregnancy to the first year of life of the child.

ELEM is dedicated to transforming the lives of troubled youth in Israel. Our 280 streetwise professionals and 1700 volunteers proactively seek at-risk youth on the streets, and earn their trust. Our innovative programs in 43 cities don’t require referrals and provide safe spaces for counseling, mentoring and job training.

The Conservancy celebrated its tenth birthday in June 2014. It currently owns five properties totaling 122 hectares and holds an easement on a 71 hectare property. It monitors a 31 hectare property for the Ontario Heritage Trust. It plans to acquire more properties following its acquisition policy and strategic plan. Over 125 members support the work of the Land Conservancy with many volunteers doing stewardship work, monitoring properties, and evaluating potential acquisitions. An 11-member Board manages the organization. We are very proud of all that we are accomplishing as a non-profit, entirely volunteer land trust dedicated to “keeping nature near … always”. Keiskamma Canada Foundation is currently partnering with the Keiskamma Trust in South Africa, an NGO serving communities in the Eastern Cape. We support their provision of health services in the Umtha Welanga AIDS Treatment Centre as well as help to employ over 150 people in the creation of beautiful, hand-crafted goods through the Keiskamma Art Project.

We provide information and mentoring to individuals with disabilities and their trusted others by supporting them to take greater control of their lives. We do this by exploring ideas and options that can lead to customized, inclusive and creative supports and services. This includes walking people through the process of forming a Microboard™ and accessing funds through Individualized Funding.
