Making A Donation COMMUNITY ONE FOUNDATION's granting process uses your donations to focus directly on the needs of the LGBTQ communities. Your support of the the Foundation is a personal and direct way to invest in people and the organizations that make a difference to all of us. Your donations to the Foundation therefore make all the difference. COMMUNITY ONE FOUNDATION has two separate funds: -- the Foundation Fund makes grants to charitable organizations (tax receiptable). All donations through CanadaHelps are directed to this Fund. -- the General Fund supports individuals and organizations that do not have charitable status. The Calgary Homeless Foundation leads the implementation of Calgary’s 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness. Issued in January 2008, Calgary’s 10 Year Plan was created by the Calgary Committee to End Homelessness, a community-based, multi-stakeholder, leadership group, who issued the Plan and selected the Foundation to implement the Plan. The Foundation is moving forward on the 10 Year Plan in partnership with the many homeless serving agencies, the private sector, our government partners, the faith community, other foundations and all Calgarians to end homelessness in Calgary once and for all.

The Foundation exists to raise support and funding for the Hamilton Conservation Authority (HCA)and has done so for more than 36 years. The HCA is legislated under the Ontario Conservations Authorities’ Act, 1946 and charged with the duty of managing renewable natural resources on a watershed basis. The Foundation raises capital and endowment funds, and will accept gifts of cash, securities, land and relevant in-kind donations. The Foundation gratefully accepts bequests and other Legacy gifts.
