The Textile Museum of Canada (TMC) is the only museum in Canada dedicated to the collection, exhibition and documentation of textiles from around the world. The collection represents more than 11,000 artifacts from over 200 countries and regions. Creating meaningful childhood education and life-long learning experiences is an important part of the TMC’s role and responsibility in the community. The Museum has a broad constituency, and serves a culturally and artistically diverse audience. The TMC presents curated exhibitions of the work of Canadian and international artists, historic and ethnographic artifacts from its collection, as well as loans from other institutions and private individuals. Educational activities constantly enliven the gallery space and deepen the visitor’s appreciation and understanding of the artwork.
Ontario March of Dimes is one of the largest charitable rehabilitation organizations in Ontario, providing a wide range of services across the province to enhance the independence and community participation of people with physical disabilities. Our consumers include those who have cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, post-polio syndrome, and people who have acquired their disability through injury, or have experienced a stroke. We help people find jobs, acquire wheelchairs and other assistive devices, provide recreation programs to those who are socially isolated, and so much more.
Our objective is to expand our YMCA in order to assist our community with providing enhanced family-based recreational opportunities for Kingston area residents. Specifically, our project will: 1. Increase the capacity of our community to offer water-based activities for all ages. 2. Enhance our ability to deliver quality learn-to-swim programs for both able-bodied individuals and children with physical and intellectual disabilities. 3. Update and expand our current recreation-focused programs for families and individuals looking to be physically active.

The Epilepsy Association of Calgary is a charitable organization that provides Support Services to anyone with, or concerned with epilepsy. We also provide Community Education on epilepsy, seizure recognition and first aid, and importantly - attempt to eliminate fear and stigma that have commonly surrounded epilepsy. A number of volunteer opportunites are also available. The Epilepsy Association of Calgary operates a satellite office in Red Deer, Alberta to serve Central Albertans affected by epilepsy. The Friends of Point Pelee are a co-operating association with Point Pelee National Park in Leamington Ontario Canada. We were formed to provide services, resources and support for research, education and ecological integrity preservation in and around the park. We operate a number of visitor services inside the park, such as the Nature Nook (the store in the Visitor Centre), the canoe & bicycle rentals and the Cattail Cafe (at the Marsh Boardwalk). We also operate the transit system that shuttles visitors from the Visitor Centre to the Tip. The proceeds from sales and services support our operations as well as the Parks Canada Mandate and Point Pelee National Park initiatives.
GGC is the leadership organization for girls and women in Canada, with over 90,000 members from coast to coast to coast. Guiding is bold, fun, energetic and empowers girls and women to face challenges with confidence. Guides welcomes girls and women to be part of the following groups: Sparks (5 and 6), Brownies (7 and 8), Guides (9 to 11), Pathfinders (12 to 14), Rangers (15 to 17+), and Adults - as leaders, mentors, team members and more. For girls, Guiding is an accepting environment with diverse and exciting programs and activities that offer the opportunity to discover new interests, valuable leadership skills and make lasting friendships. Guiding gives girls the tools and resources they need to acheive greatness. For women, Guiding is a chance to make a difference in the lives of girls and young women. It's a place for personal growth, mentoring and travel.
The YMCAs of Quebec Foundation was established in 1983 to support the charitable and social mission of the YMCA in Montreal, Quebec.
Peace Festival A yearly Peace Festival is organized in our local neighbourhood.. Community-building activities Community meals, special events, organized outings and activities draw people out of isolation and rebuild personal support networks. Community student residence Near Montreal’s four major universities, it offers lodging in a community living and peace church context. There will also be opportunities for volunteering with Maison de l'amitié programs. Community space We offer low cost rental (or free) community space to our local community for meetings or events. Pastoral Refugee Support Network This program is develops a support network for communities of faith where many of the members struggle with having been suddenly uprooted and having experienced organized violence or torture. The Stratford House of Blessing provides our clients with the basic needs of food, clothing, and furniture, all at no cost to the people who are in need. We also have programs and support services designed to educate and empower families and individuals to become self-sustaining.
