Casey House is a specialty hospital with community programming including home care and outreach programs. Founded in 1988, we were the first freestanding HIV/AIDS hospice in Canada. We rely on donor funding to provide our community programs, which include the Home Hospice Program, nursing, counselling, complementary therapies including massage, recreation therapy, child care for HIV-positive parents and the Resident Care and Comfort Fund.

McCormick Home, a WCA organization, is a fully accredited not-for-profit charitable long-term care home that has served London and area for over 100 years. We provide care for those who are no longer able to live safely and independently in the community. Our Home creates an environment that encourages residents to be as active, independent and as involved in life as much as they are able. We also offer the Alzheimer Outreach Services (AOS) community based program which provides individualized recreational therapeutic activities designed to bring out the best in all clients. The Day Program is offered 7 days a week. Family and educational support programs are also available for caregivers and clients.

Through the efforts of TENDER WISHES, many families have been able to cherish happy memories. Each year the number of wishes grows. They range from trips to Walt Disney World, home entertainment units, attending sporting events, meeting a celebrity or hero, to home renovations done to the home to make life a little more comfortable for their child. The wishes are as varied as the child. In general, TENDER WISHES strives to make the child's wish, in consultation with their parents, come true! INTERESTING FACTS 1. We are based in Niagara Falls, Ontario and serve the entire Regional Municipality of Niagara. 2. We have NO paid staff. All our members are Volunteers. 3. We are NOT affiliated with any national or international wish-granting organization. 4. We receive NO Government Grants 5. Once a wish is granted, contact is maintained with the child and their family through annual events such as our Summer Picnic, Parades and our Wish Children's Christmas Party.

We have served the disability community since 1986. We provide the following: • Abilities magazine (minimum print run of 20,000 targetted copies/issue) • www.abilities.ca (over 40,000 visitors per month) • Access Guide Canada (over 17,000 listing and over 1,200 volunteers involved) • The EnableLinker (monthly e-zine on disability issues sent to over 1,200 subscribers) • The Directory of Disability Organizations in Canada (over 5,400 listings) • On My Own: A Resource Guide to Living Independently (in its second printing) • Making A Difference: Profiles in Abilities (100s of copies in distribution) • Other publications in support of women and youth issues, employment & learning, culture and the arts and inclusion.

The most significant threats to HIV+ persons are insufficient food, financial assistance and shelter. With HIV/AIDS increasingly becoming an issue of poverty, housing and shelter needs are exploding. Fife House provides supportive housing and support services for over 490 people living with HIV/AIDS in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Services include physical and personal care, life skills training and counselling. These essential programs are operated through our three residences – Denison, Jarvis and Sherbourne – and our largest initiative, the Homeless Outreach Program. Fife House currently provides 80% of the available supportive housing for people living with HIV/AIDS in the GTA.

PARENTS ACCESS FOLLOW-UP IN-HOME SUPPORT, GROUP FAMILY EDUCATION AND SOCIAL GROUPS. OFFER A REGULAR FASD RESPITE PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN 3 YRS TO 8 YRS OF AGE ONCE A WEEK. PROVIDE A FOOD SECURITY PROGRAM ONCE A WEEK FOR TWELVE WEEKS.
