The Provincial Office of YWAM Alberta oversees the ministry activities of our YWAM locations in Alberta. These locations include three training centres where Canadian and International youth receive Biblical instruction in missions and take that cross culturally on 2-3 month field assignments. There is also mission mobilization work in Edmonton and Calgary and a church planting effort among the local Vietnamese people.
The Lending Journey primarily supports women in Latin American countries that have found themselves abandoned by their husbands and are left to raise their children without any support. We give small micro loans to these women and provide them with the necessary training to ensure their success. The loan are repaid in 26 weeks at which point we recycle the funds to a new borrower
Our goal is to bring tree equity to communities that lack natural tree canopy by establishing tiny native forests in and around the Chicago metropolitan area.We use the Miyawaki method of tree planting to bring the benefits of forests to more communities. Park-To-Park Trail is a regional initiative to create a 230 km east-west recreation trail through Parry Sound, Muskoka, and Haliburton. The route will connect several provincial parks, communities and ammenities to provide trail users with an unforgetable trail experience. As a link in the Trans Canada Trail, the P2P trail is intended to be a "shared-use" network with such uses as hiking, cycling, cross country-skiing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, dog sledding and ATVing.
DIASOL is a non-profit-making organization that is also entitled to be a charitable organization. Its mission is to provide young people with mobile educational workshops based on the discovery and experimentation of light in photography. The mission of Friends of Padhar Schools is to ensure that any child in rural India has an opportunity to receive an excellent education. Our organization is established to support staff, teachers and students in rural India who want to attend school. We are currently working with eight schools in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. We encourage international donors to participate in funding the education of these children, in order to establish a partnership that crosses boundaries of culture, class, race, religion, disability, status or wealth.
