RYSA has been meeting the needs of Richmond Youth since 1974. As a United Way member agency, we utilize best practices to deliver high quality programs and services that are available to children, youth and families in the community of Richmond, BC. We offer a number of services and programs in Richmond including: counseling for children and youth in partnership with the Richmond School District and Richmond Health Services, the only youth centre in Richmond, career and employment training, after school programs, volunteer and leadership opportunities, fun activities and recreation, special events and celebrations, cultural awareness activities, health and wellness supports and Pathways Aboriginal Centre which supports the needs of local Aboriginal children, youth and families.

Connections Early Years Family Centre

SERVICES ONTARIO EARLY YEARS Programs which include parenting courses, workshops, emergent literacy, single parent groups, groups for mothers and their infants and drop-in sessions. ESSEX PRESCHOOL SPEECH AND LANGUAGE (TALK 2 ME) Offers assessment and a range of intervention services for families who have concerns about their child’s speech, language or emergent literacy skills, from birth to the year they start school. ESSEX-KENT INFANT HEARING PROGRAM Offers universal newborn hearing screening, high risk monitoring and additional services for families of children identified with a permanent hearing loss living in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent counties. ESSEX-KENT BLIND-LOW VISION PROGRAM Offers specialized family-centred services for children who are born blind or with low vision. VOLUNTEER / STUDENT PLACEMENT PROGRAM This program offers orientation, training and supervision to community volunteers and student placements.

Community Support Connections - Meals on Wheels & More provides a variety of supports and services to enable people to age at home with independence and dignity. These services include: Meals on Wheels, Transportation to medical appointments and other tasks of daily living, Escorted Shopping,List Shopping, Friendly Visiting, Telephone Reassurance & Security Calls, Homemaking, Yard Work & Snow Removal, Gentle Exercise classes, Congregate Dining Programs and Crisis Intervention Services.
