Bless the Children's mission is to free orphaned, abandoned and impoverished children from the chains of poverty by empowering them with health, shelter, nutritional and educational support so they may become productive members of society.

Tia's mission is to bring access to lifesaving healthcare and preventative education in the poorest remote places where there are no doctors or medicine through Tia's self-sustaining, teach them to fish program.

Since 1993, we have helped protect over 11,000 acres of special natural lands in central Ontario; north Simcoe County and Carden Township, City of Kawartha Lakes. Properties and conservation easements have been donated to us by individuals with a great love for nature. We also manage properties owned by the Nature Conservancy of Canada and the Ontario Heritage Foundation. Our goal is to protect natural lands by: • accepting donations of significant lands to manage as nature reserves • entering into conservation easements with willing owners to legally restrict future development • working cooperatively with other organizations to acquire or manage ecological lands • engaging private landowners and volunteers in positive conservation actions • increasing local knowledge and awareness about natural heritage conservation

The Project’s earlier emphasis on environmental and sustainability education for younger learners has broadened in more recent years to encompass the learning needs of the whole community, including those that can be met through community activities and programs for the adult learner. The Demeter Project encourages experiential and place-based exploration of ideas, issues and solutions as important components of developing environmental literacy.

The Riverwood Conservancy (TRC) is a volunteer and member-based community charity whose volunteers and staff provide nature and environmental education programs and services to children including special needs children, youth, and adults and families. TRC also improves and conserves the natural heritage of Riverwood park though stewardship activities, which includes native tree planting, managing invasive plants and re-establishing animal and plant habitat. TRC designs, plants and beautifies the many Chappell House Gardens. In addition, TRC promotes the further establishment of Riverwood as a public park in Mississauga. This is all accomplished in partnership with the City of Mississauga, local schools, businesses, and service clubs. Our programs contribute to a healthy community, enriching quality of life, and improving the environment. All TRC work occurs at Riverwood, a rare and ecologically diverse 150-acre site in central Mississauga.

The Kensington Conservancy is a land trust that works to protect lands and waters by purchasing property, accepting donations of land, and through voluntary conservation agreements. These protection methods are all aimed at protecting our precious landscape in perpetuity. The Kensington Conservancy believes that conservation and preservation can also be achieved through the good stewardship practices of all property owners. We work with local landowners, farmers, governments, schools and other organizations to develop programs that will promote greener and less intensive development, best land and water management practices, invasive species control, and low impact recreational activities. Our Vision is to inspire all members of the North Channel community to embrace positive conservation values that will promote the protection and preservation of natural ecosystems for all generations.

Charitree organizes, coordinates and participates in children's environmental learning and reforestation projects that involve tree planting. Charitree brings children, teachers, camp directors, and parents together in an effort to get kids outside more to connect with nature and learn how they can make the world a better place. Metchosin’s coast, meadows, forest, woodlands and mountainous areas include some of Canada’s rarest species and ecosystems. Being located in the rainshadow of the Olympic Mountains has produced a mild, seasonally dry climate that favours flora and fauna that are unique in Canada. Our Garry oak woodland is one of the rarest ecosystems in Canada, featuring displays of camas and fawn lilies that draw admirers from far and wide. The remnant old growth Coastal Douglas-fir forests at Mary Hill and Rocky Point are considered globally significant. The Metchosin Foundation was started in order to preserve our rare species and the forests and meadows that they inhabit. To that end we work with landowners to ensure that the landscapes they love will be protected into the future. Facilitating and supporting conservation covenants is the main tool at our disposal to help preserve these ecosystems.

Our work inspires a vital re-connection between people and nature, community and oneself. We work primarily with children and families in the urban context. Our summer programs now include day and overnight camps in Muskoka as well as Toronto, and a regional training course for adults with a focus on nature connection, mentoring, community building and intergenerational learning. We currently work with over 1800 people per year, with over 500 in long term mentoring relationships where we support children to grow into healthy, active, and resilient people. Our goal is to inspire nature connection in childhood, and long term mentoring relationships to communities all across Ontario.
