The Wye Marsh is a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to connecting people to nature and promoting an understanding of the vital role wetlands play in the environment. Year-round educational and recreational programs for all ages and interests in both official languages are designed to kindle the appreciation and enjoyment of this unique wildlife habitat. You can become a Wye Marsh supporter though many different ways: Adopt a Swan, Adopt a Wild Bird, or Adopt a Bird of Prey. Or become a monthly donor, a simple and affordable way to make a significant gift. You can acknowledge a friend or loved one through tribute donations with naming opportunities on benches, trees, bird feeders or a plank on the boardwalk. "We Conserve". It's a statement of commitment to a healthier environment. It's also the name of our initiative to build a stronger conservation movement in Ontario. The Conservation Council of Ontario is a provincial association of organizations and individual conservation leaders who seek to promote conservation solutions and values in Ontario. We offer several choices for your donations: ONTARIO FRIENDS OF CONSERVATION ($100+): Add your name to the list of Friends! 1000 friends will help buidl a united conservation movement across Ontario. GENERAL CONTRIBUTION: Help create conservation campaigns and community-oriented programs to connect people with conservation solutions. SMART GROWTH: support the Ontario Smart Growth Network and help stop sprawl, save prime farmland and significant natural areas and make Ontario's cities, towns and communities people-centred, efficient, and healthy.

The GBCTA has three main program initiatives. The organization has successfully built two trails around the hamlet of Bragg Creek, and is pursuing the development of a trail connecting the hamlet to west Bragg Creek Kananaskis Country. In addition, the association is developing and maintaining summer and winter hiking, biking, snowshoeing and ski trails at west Bragg Creek. In addition to funding from private donations, the association also pursues corporate and foundation financing to build and maintain trails. The Association's volunteer activities have contributed to an improved visitor experience to the Bragg Creek area, generating economic activity for local business, while encouraging safe and healthy lifestyle opportunities. The development of an All-Season Trail network in west Bragg Creek will improve the recreational and tourism options for the businesses in the Hamlet.

Be the Change Earth Alliance is a Canadian charitable organization that brings sustainability education programs to schools and communities to create environmental and social change. Our programs empower people of all ages to connect, understand and actively respond to the sustainability challenges facing our planet. Your donations will be supporting STUDENT LEADERSHIP IN SUSTAINABILITY, an innovative program that provides teachers and students with a groundbreaking educational curriculum for environmental sustainability, global citizenship, and youth empowerment. The 4,000 students currently using SLS are creating local solutions to global sustainability issues and your donations will help us bring SLS to more schools! A donation of $5 dollars will bring Student Leadership in Sustainability to a student. A donation of $100 will bring Student Leadership in Sustainability to a whole classroom. A donation of $250 will bring Student Leadership in Sustainability to an entire grade.

The Forest Trust for the Children of Cortes Island Society has been formed to purchase Island Timberlands forest land holdings immediately adjacent to Carrington Bay Park on Cortes Island, British Columbia, Canada. These forest lands will be held in trust for all the children of Cortes Island, in perpetuity. They will offer educational, recreational, cultural and spiritual value for all our children. They will provide the opportunity for our youth to embrace and practise stewardship of forest lands and watersheds. Parcel Identification The parcels of land that have been identified for purchase (shown below) are: NW ¼ S38, NE ¼ S38, NW ¼ S39, NE ¼ S39 and portion of SW ¼ S39. These lands border the southern shores of Carrington Lagoon and share their northern boundary with Carrington Bay Park, providing critical connectivity at the landscape level for Carrington Bay and Carrington Lagoon.

Our mission is to promote dignity, community, and self-sufficiency by working with marginalized populations in rural Honduras on a long-term basis, facilitating access to health care, education, and livable wages. Our comprehensive approach to grassroots community development promotes local traditions, encourages community leadership, and emphasizes collective ownership. Un Mundo seeks to improve the present and future socio-economic conditions and the quality of life of the families in rural Honduras who are living in extreme poverty by providing them with tools and resources to be self-sufficient and unified. Our work began from spontaneous relief actions after Hurricane Mitch devastated Honduras in 1998, and we grew to gain 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 2001. Initially, the organization was sustained by the generosity of international volunteers, but we have gradually evolved such that more and more of our project work is managed by local Honduran leaders. Within a few years, we expect that we will be able to realize our vision of seeing equitable, fruitful, life-giving projects in the Cangrejal River Valley being 100% run by the local communities.

Rated as the #1 Attraction in Nova Scotia for 2011 on Tripadvisor, the world class Historic Gardens is a 17 acre horticultural paradise located in historic Annapolis Royal, the first permanent European settlement in North America (1605). Historically themed areas tell the story of Nova Scotia settlement from an agricultural and horticultural perspective, showcasing gardening methods, designs and materials representing more than four hundred years of local history. These core gardens are linked by paths through many other display areas featuring plant collections, garden art, water features and natural areas. Connecting pathways look westward over dykelands, evocative of a way of life centuries ago. One of the most magnificent of the collections, by any standards, is the Rose Collection which has more than 270 cultivars. With thousands of colourful and fragrant blossoms, it is the largest rose collection in the Maritime region.

URBAN AGRICULTURE/COMMUNITY FOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM Since 1993, thousands of young people have been in touch with our food & garden initiatives. Current programs include: 1) Youth Urban Agriculture Internships -training 12 youth annually in urban organic agriculture and facilitation of community food programs 2) Growing Kids - food & garden education for low income elementary schools 3) Vancouver Community Agriculture Network (VCAN) - helping support new community gardens with training & resources INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM EYA is currently working in the slums of Kenya to improve the living conditions for the youth living in Nairobi. Based on the successful 2007/2008 waste management program, EYA is creating a network that will connect the youth of Nairobi to help each other clean up their neighbourhoods and earn an income while doing it.

TGC's programs include: Community Eco-Gardens: A multi-faceted program engaging children & adults from diverse communities in ecological gardening and food security initiatives. Lost River Walks: Guided public walks along buried waterways to find out how human and natural water systems form our urban life support system, to connect with watersheds and take action for a restored ecosystem Presentations & Workshops: Interactive sessions providing practical information on green living to groups and communities across the city. Eco-Themed Employee Activities: Meaningful activities for corporate staff volunteer days, team building and Lunch & Learn workshops. Apartment Greening: Door to Door education for tenants of high-rise buildings on greening initiatives including waste reduction, and conservation of water and energy. Community Forests International works to connect people and their communities to the forests that sustain them. As the pace of global environmental degradation intensifies, the need for positive environmental stewardship and a balance between humanity and nature has become a necessity. Community Forests International was formed when a group of fishermen in Pemba, Tanzania felt the need to alleviate pressure on the environment. To provide food and timber sustainably, hundreds of Pembans began planting trees in a process of restoration. Today, Pembans plant over 100,000 trees annually for the provision of fruit, nuts, timber and increased habitat while improving the conditions of their environment. Building on the belief that a communities can motivate for positive change, CFl has grown to support over 12 communities in Pemba, Tanzania, while initiating climate change education world-wide. In 2009, Community Forests International began programming in its home country, Canada.
