The aim of Shaping Bright Futures is to build compassionate partnerships between families whose needs are consistently met and children in countries affected by conflict and widespread poverty. We are dedicated to bringing hope to these children through the provision of basic essentials such as education, life skills, nourishing food, and drinkable water. SBF harnesses the resources and generosity of families in developed nations and delivers these gifts of compassion to those who need them most. The work of SBF also empowers both the donors and recipients with the knowledge that thoughtful and caring actions can have a positive global impact.

OLTA supports the efforts of 35 land trusts across Ontario. Fuelled by more than 100,000 volunteers, OLTA members have conserved over 80,000 acres across Ontario - and their impact continues to grow. Land trusts are locally-based, often volunteer-led, charities that work tirelessly to conserve special lands and waters in their communities - forever. Established and driven by community members, land trusts are well positioned to work with private landowners and other local stakeholders to realize shared conservation objectives and help build a nature legacy for current and future generations to enjoy.

Viet Dreams is a 501(c)(3) charity non-profit organization founded by musicians, artists, and music enthusiasts who all share a common goal - to provide disadvantaged children in Vietnam and United States with better educational opportunities and a more healthy, sustainable way of living. It is our duty to provide these children with vital medical supplies and educational assistance so that they may live better lives and one day fulfill their dreams. 100% of every dollar donated goes to our projects. Some of our projects include donating bicycles and helmets, granting scholarships, medical supplies, workshops and most recently, providing access to clean drinking water , which will reduce water-borne illness among children. Our organization also collaborates with local networks and other non-profit organizations such as Hope for Tomorrow, ICAN, Friends of Vinh Son, Fund for Vietnam, Children of Vietnam and Because Vietnam in order to successfully create an environment where every child is safe, self-sufficient, and able to pursue their education. But what sets our organization apart is our unwavering commitment and passion. We are devoted to giving these children a healthier lifestyle and a promising educational future. Our efforts are focused on children living in the poorer, rural areas of Vietnam. We do not discriminate among ethnic backgrounds, religions, minorities or medical circumstances. Every child deserves our assistance. We use our musical talents to raise the necessary funds to support our projects. The majority of our funding coming from benefit concerts, auctions, sponsors, and selling CDs and various artworks. We hope that our efforts and commitment will serve as a powerful reminder that there are many children in Vietnam who still need our help. At the Center for Biological Diversity, we believe that the welfare of human beings is deeply linked to nature — to the existence in our world of a vast diversity of wild animals and plants. Because diversity has intrinsic value, and because its loss impoverishes society, we work to secure a future for all species, great and small, hovering on the brink of extinction. We do so through science, law and creative media, with a focus on protecting the lands, waters and climate that species need to survive. We want those who come after us to inherit a world where the wild is still alive.

Manitoba Eco-Network is an umbrella for non-governmental environmental groups in Manitoba. We provide information and resources to our member groups and the public. We operate an environmental library, conduct public workshops and publish the Eco-Journal - providing people with the information they need to take action for the environment, as well as undertaking projects and providing a volunteer referral service. Our current projects include Climate Change Connection, a GIS/Mapping Centre, a Water Caucus, Organic Lawn Care Education and the Manitoba Environmental Youth Network. Manitoba Eco-Network is a regional affiliate of the Canadian Environmental Network.

We help install and monitor barrier fencing and culverts to reduce road mortality of amphibians in coastal British Columbia. We monitor how well these mitigation efforts work to improve habitat connectivity. We also help protect wetlands from habitat destruction, pollution, invasive species, and disease. We share information and promote stewardship of wetland habitats through public slideshows, workshops, school programs and by providing scientific advice to land owners and local planning departments. We highlight the connection between productive wetland habitat, water quality and human health in our presentations.

Matthew 25 Ministries helps durng disasters as well as the poor locally, nationally and internationally by rescuing overstocked or shghtly damaged products frorn corocrations manufacturers, hospital and individuals. The mission of Matthew 25: Ministries is to fulfill Matthew 25:34-40 of the New Testament by providing nutritional food to the hungry, clean water to the thirsty, clothing to the naked, affordable shelter to the homeless, medical care to the ill, and humanitarian supplies to those in need. Additionally, Matthew 25: Ministries is committed to fulfilling Matthew 25:40 by educating the public on the conditions and needs of the “least of these” and by providing resources for action.

Founded in 1969, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to raising funds for the preservation & rehabilitaiton of our natural environment for present & future generations. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors from many walks of life, it exists to raise support & funding for projects of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. Often, these projects are not eligible for traditional government funding, or other funding is not sufficient or available. When you donate to the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Foundation, you help support projects that contribute to bettering the quality of life through improved water quality, more green spaces, protected wetlands and habitat for fish & wildlife.

Sierra Club of Canada Foundation is a national charitable foundation that provides financial support for charitable work to the Sierra Club of Canada. Established in 1972, Sierra Club of Canada Foundation funds a wide range of environmental projects, from scientific research to environmental education. These funds are largely provided by individual donors and foundations who recognize that we all have a right to a safe and healthy environment with clean air, clean water, open space, wild lands and a healthy and diverse ecosystem. While the Foundation is autonomous and governed by its own Board of Directors, it works closely with the Sierra Club of Canada in pursuing its program goals.

Since 1974 we've raised $5 million to teach children about the value of nature, to help care for injured birds of prey, to plant trees, and to purchase and protect important natural lands. The Foundation is currently raising funds for environmental education programs for children including the Halton Children's Water Festival and the Halton Forest Festival, the new Hawk Clan longhouse at Crawford Lake Conservation Area, the Mountsberg Shrike Recovery Project, the Mountsberg Raptor Centre and habitat restoration projects at Oakville's Glenorchy Conservation Area.

Our priorities are to: 1) Protect the watershed by encouraging a community, ecosystem and watershed approach to environmental planning and protection; 2) Educate the public through nature walks, school field trips, presentations and community events to encourage environmental awareness, ethics and action; 3) Restore the watershed by training thousands of youth and community volunteers to restore forest, wetland and meadow habitat; 4) Monitor restoration work by performing follow-up watering, mulching and maintenance. We form productive conservation partnerships with schools, community groups, religious organizations, businesses, landowners, municipalities, government agencies, community leaders, foundations and environmental groups.

Our public service is available to visitors to our library. Our computer library catalogue has over 20,000 records and materials on regulatory reform, policy, law and legal precedents, materials from environmental organizations and advocacy groups. The focus is on Ontario and Canadian issues but increasingly includes United States and international resources as well. The range of topics is wide: air pollution, biotechnology, climate change, environmental health, environmental law, environmental politics, Great Lakes, international trade and development, land use planning, northern development, pesticides, toxic substances, waste management, water quality and quantity, wetlands, wildlife and endangered species.
