Sierra Club of Canada Foundation is a national charitable foundation that provides financial support for charitable work to the Sierra Club of Canada. Established in 1972, Sierra Club of Canada Foundation funds a wide range of environmental projects, from scientific research to environmental education. These funds are largely provided by individual donors and foundations who recognize that we all have a right to a safe and healthy environment with clean air, clean water, open space, wild lands and a healthy and diverse ecosystem. While the Foundation is autonomous and governed by its own Board of Directors, it works closely with the Sierra Club of Canada in pursuing its program goals.
The Stratford Perth Community Foundation is a registered charitable public foundation, created by and for the people of Stratford, St. Marys and Perth County. The Foundation currently holds over $2 million in endowed funds, with the interest earned on those endowments reinvested into the community through grants for services and projects benefiting the citizens of Stratford, St. Marys and Perth County.
The Mississippi Valley Conservation Foundation was created in 1996 and is managed by an elected volunteer Board of Directors who represent different areas of the watershed and are concerned about its future. On behalf of the Authority, the Foundation organizes special events, solicits individual donations, corporate partnerships and sponsorships and prepares project proposals to private granting foundations, community groups and government agencies.
