Hollyhock is a non-profit educational retreat centre located on gorgeous Cortes Island, BC, that offers immersive learning experiences for the mind, body & spirit. Hollyhock selects world-class presenters, who are experts in their field, to teach on such topics as the arts, health, well-being, sustainability, business & leadership. With over 100 educational programs and 4 social change conferences we inspire 2500 people annually. With stunning ocean views amidst lush rainforest, majestic snow-capped mountains, & exquisite gardens, Hollyhock is the perfect setting to learn and grow both personally and professionally. Now more than ever, we need places where we can build our capacity to be better global citizens. Such places are rare. For more than 27 years, Hollyhock has offered guests an experience that sends them home not just transformed & inspired, but also equipped with new knowledge & tools, to engage in making the world better.

In 1953 Louise Dana helped establish La Piccola Casa di San Antonio in Rome, Italy, to provide care and education for girls orphaned by World War II. Fifty years later, Italy is a wealthy country, and there is no longer a need for the orphanage. Rather than abandon this important mission, our focus was redirected to Africa and our name was changed to the African Orphans Foundation. The African Orphans Foundation became officially incorporated into Africa in 2003 and is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Since 2004 we have provided education, food, clothing, and shelter for orphaned girls in Africa. Over the years we have continued to grow and expand and are currently operating in Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda. The need for support in Africa continues to be great, but corruption is also quite prevalent. AOF has taken extensive steps toward securing the funds that we allocate to our orphans. In most cases our program begins with a local 'sponsor' who already lives in Africa and personally knows of honest and devoted guardians within the community who are already caring for orphaned girls, but who are in need of financial assistance. We can offer such support. We have defined a guardian as an organization, such as an established orphanage, or an individual, such as a relative, but not the child’s biological parents. Through our sponsors, we are able to verify that the orphan is receiving adequate care and that the guardian will use the money for the child's direct welfare. Additionally, because the sponsors are local, we are able to fund opportunities that might not ordinarily receive charity because of their small size, geographic location, or grassroots origins. AOF does not promote political or religious activities of any kind and therefore abstains from funding religiously affiliated institutions or organizations, regardless of their level of care. Additionally, we have also taken precautions to ensure that our sponsors do not have any financial ties to the guardian or the orphan.

CTF was born from the idea that the world would be a better place if we were all given the opportunity to give back. Established by a group of water women, we feel it is our calling to help others by teaming up with local organizations globally to raise awareness and address social, environmental, health and safety concerns in the places we visit. We aim to bridge the gap between the traveler and our projects enabling travelers to add a life-changing experience to their journeys and add purpose to travel.

Sonna Etienne Foundation’s mission is to foster, develop and nurture Sonna Etienne’s social vision and development priorities throughout his lifetime. We do this by helping underserved communities move towards economic welfare, building stronger education systems that will provide education or life skills to everyone, supporting access to quality education as a recognition of youth’s enormous potential and the right to a better future and providing them with the skills they need to recover, chart their own path to self-reliance and become first accountable to their growth and development in a globalized context.

Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) has the highest rate of HIV infection in the world. A generation of children is being left without parents; a generation of grandparents are being left to raise them without resources. Young Heroes initiatives have supported over 15,000 orphans and vulnerable children. We empower Eswatini's most vulnerable youth and their caretakers so they may achieve their fullest potential through: life-support grants; vocational training; healthcare: HIV education, prevention, and care programs; educational support; and gender and economic empowerment programs.

Love Story Foundation is a charity aimed at meeting the needs of the community in Port Elizabeth. We have a desire to be involved in community upliftment and development and would like to start a culture of "giving back to the community" amongst the public of this region. Our projects include feeding schemes for the homeless and destitute, early childhood development programmes in underprivileged schools and distribution of food parcels and clothing to those in need. We have a desire and passion to expand such projects and move into other areas requiring development nationally. Our Vision: to meet needs, to show love, to spread love.

Mission: To provide a Christian home, family and education to the impoverished youth in our communities. Casa Estrella Foundation, was founded in 2006 hostessing over 150 orphans through out the years, from ages 3 to up 18 years old. In 2014 we opened the first Private Christian School, from pre-K to High School. We have 360 students, this school year we gave 90 scholarships to mothers with low income and struggling families that have been separated from parents. Since 1974 we've raised $5 million to teach children about the value of nature, to help care for injured birds of prey, to plant trees, and to purchase and protect important natural lands. The Foundation is currently raising funds for environmental education programs for children including the Halton Children's Water Festival and the Halton Forest Festival, the new Hawk Clan longhouse at Crawford Lake Conservation Area, the Mountsberg Shrike Recovery Project, the Mountsberg Raptor Centre and habitat restoration projects at Oakville's Glenorchy Conservation Area.

The Alberta Emerald Foundation is a small charity making a large impact on the environmental landscape in Alberta. With a staff of just 1.5 employees and fantastic volunteer support, the AEF facilitates several unique and inspiring programs each year. Our flagship program is the Emerald Awards, celebrating environmental achievements in Alberta. Complimenting this program is our Sharing Stories communications strategy, where we share stories of our environmental heroes with the broader public. Additionally, we organize Emerald Day events in communities across the province as well as provide micro-grants to youth who are engaging in the environment. Zimkids Orphan Foundation was created to underpin the presents and bolster the futures of orphan children in Zimbabwe. As a publicly supported, non-profit organization, a 501(c)(3) under U.S. law, we collaborate with carefully-vetted Zimbabwean organizations and provide funding for food, education, vocational training, medical care, and the psychosocial needs of the orphaned children by: - Paying school fees - Providing food and nutritional supplements - Facilitating the services of a volunteer physician and paying for needed testing and medication - Funding university scholarships - Creating opportunities for growth-building recreation - Establishing and maintaining vocational training programs - Providing business education, textbooks, computers and other educational materials -

The National Farmers Foundation has a board of directors made up of five persons known for their commitment to education and research for the benefit of the family farm in Canada. The directors are in sympathy with the goals, objectives, and policy of the National Farmers Union. Representatives of various sectors in the country, such as family farmers, organic product marketers, new rural development groups, churches, rural youth and women, and urban consumers supported the establishment of the organization. Many of these have identified a vacuum with respect to accessible education and plain language research to help direct the crucial ventures in rural development which will mean not only survival, but the thriving of rural communities into the twenty - first century. A new awareness of the interdependence of rural and urban communities creates a challenge to promote action-oriented education and research which will create and enhance positive rural/urban cooperation.

Metchosin’s coast, meadows, forest, woodlands and mountainous areas include some of Canada’s rarest species and ecosystems. Being located in the rainshadow of the Olympic Mountains has produced a mild, seasonally dry climate that favours flora and fauna that are unique in Canada. Our Garry oak woodland is one of the rarest ecosystems in Canada, featuring displays of camas and fawn lilies that draw admirers from far and wide. The remnant old growth Coastal Douglas-fir forests at Mary Hill and Rocky Point are considered globally significant. The Metchosin Foundation was started in order to preserve our rare species and the forests and meadows that they inhabit. To that end we work with landowners to ensure that the landscapes they love will be protected into the future. Facilitating and supporting conservation covenants is the main tool at our disposal to help preserve these ecosystems.
