WE are the Land Trust Alliance of British Columbia (LTABC) representing 29 land trust members across the province. Associate members (consultants, environmental groups and individuals) bring our total membership to one hundred. Since 1997 when LTABC was established, we have developed educational, research and resource programs that have helped conservation groups steward, protect and restore BC's natural and cultural diversity. EHANS carries out a variety of activities to achieve these goals including - The popular on-line Guide to Less Toxic Products, www.lesstoxicguide.ca - Environmental health news, analysis and practical information published in our semi-annual publication, and on line at www.environmentalhealth.ca - Gathering and disseminating information addressing the special needs of people with chemical sensitivity - The E. Bruce Elliott Memorial Fund, which supports public lectures, book donations and other educational activities - The E. Bruce Elliott Scholarship in Environmental Medicine, which provides specialized training opportunities to physicians and other health professionals - Support for individuals through a 1-800 phone line - Collaboration with other community groups working to reduce environmental toxins

These business and professional people volunteer time, money and talents to help the less fortunate in our community and around the world with the ultimate goal of world understanding and peace.

The Coves is a series of 3 ponds that offer a natural refuge in the heart of London, Ontario. In 1998, two friends hiking in the Coves lamented that the ecosystem was progressively degrading. The friends wasted little time in talk and soon turned their lamentations into action. By 2000, they enlisted the support of 6 volunteer board members and established an incorporated, non-profit registered charity called the Friends of the Coves Subwatershed Inc. The Friends of the Coves immediately secured funding to create the Coves Subwatershed Plan. With extensive community consultation they identified common goals and secured widespread support for implementation of the plan. The Friends have installed a native plant butterfly garden, have naturalization projects on a former landfill site and shoreline areas, develop educational programs to promote ecologically friendly practices, and established a water quality monitoring program

The Friends of the Tay Watershed (FoTW) is a non-profit association, dedicated to preserving and enhancing the health of the Tay River Watershed. It was founded and obtained incorporated non-profit charitable status in 2001. The Tay is a magnificent tributary of the Rideau Canal system in eastern Ontario, covering 95 kilometers and encompassing 46 lakes and numerous streams and wetlands. The FoTW involves landowners, water users, and other interested parties in programs to improve the health of the Tay River Watershed. It works to: 1. educate the public and watershed stakeholders on the benefits of maintaining and improving wildlife habitat, recreation, and water quality and quantity in the Tay Watershed; 2. carry forward the recommendations of the Tay River Watershed Management Plan; 3. promote the coordination of water protection and improvement activities from the range of organizations involved in watershed management. The Biosphere Institute: -Promotes sustainable communities and environmental stewardship with its outreach programs engaging youth, residents and visitors, and local businesses. -Maintains a Public Resource Centre with wildlife and sustainable community displays, and a library focused on the ecology of the Bow Valley

The ISCBC is a registered charity whose members are involved in all aspects of invasive plant management. Members include technical specialists working for government and industry, regional coordinators, First Nations representatives, foresters, forest technologists, biologists, ranchers, horticulturists, recreation enthusiasts, gardeners, and other concerned individuals. Membership is open to everyone willing to work collaboratively.

The Child and Nature Alliance of Canada is a network of organizations and individuals who are working to connect children to nature through education, advocacy, programming, policy, research, and collaboration. Our vision is that all children and families in Canada are connected with nature and the outdoors in order to enhance their health and well-being.

No.9 is a not-for-profit arts organization that provides artists who address social and environmental issues with the opportunity to make ambitious work in the public realm. No.9 also has a wide variety of education programs and events to expand on the ideas behind our public projects, such as artist talks, film presentations, and multidisciplinary symposia. In collaboration with our artists' projects, these programs will make our audiences more aware of their environment, the impact they have on it and the opportunities for local and global change.

The Native Plant Society of Saskatchewan is a member-driven registered charity that believes in achieving goals through active, impartial dialogue with all stakeholders. Everyone involved with the society believes that Saskatchewan's native plants are an irreplaceable natural treasure. Since 1995, the Native Plant Society of Saskatchewan has been striving for the protection of, and education about, native plants. We achieve our goals through school visits and youth programs, rare plant conservation projects, public field tours, invasive species removal projects, habitat restoration, and much, much more!
