Roots of Development supports community‑led development, partnering with local groups (especially on La Gonâve, Haiti) to build capacity, provide unrestricted funding, and help communities design, manage, and maintain projects that improve quality of life (water access, housing, local enterprises and leadership training). Two years after the crisis, thousands of refugees are still stuck on the islands of Greece. Many are families with young children. They arrive scared, hungry and vulnerable. Large NGOs and governments are not able to provide adequate housing or food. There are a handful of small groups that we work with that fill in the needs. Our goal, as a charity, is to raise money to support the various volunteer groups who provide food, blankets, dry clothes, and basic medical services at these sites.

FAFG FOCUSES ON INVESTIGATION, RECOVERY AND IDENTIFICATION OF VICTIMS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES BURIED IN CLANDESTINE GRAVESITES DURING GUATEMALA'S 36-YEAR INTERNAL ARMED CONFLICT, DEVOLVING HOPE, DIGNITY AND TRUTH TO THE VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
