Founded in 2001, Ottawa Riverkeeper is a grassroots charity formed to protect, promote and improve the health and future of the Ottawa River and its tributaries. Ottawa Riverkeeper works collaboratively to inspire others to take action, to encourage responsible decision making, to hold polluters accountable and to recommend alternative practices and policies to safeguard our local waterways. Ottawa Riverkeeper is a member of Waterkeeper Alliance, an international grassroots organization founded by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. We envision an Ottawa River that is clean and healthy, provides safe drinking water, supports a diverse range of species, invites world-class recreation and enables sustainable economic activity. The river is appreciated and recognized for its natural capital and is diligently protected for the well-being of all. Future generations are proud to inherit the Ottawa River, and are motivated and inspired to respect and protect it in perpetuity.

"No child's life shall be curtailed by the circumstances of his or her birth because each one deserves absolute love and infinite opportunity to grow" Established in 2012, our fundamental purpose is to deliver those without means into this world safely and render them to a loving family securely. To provide and ensure quality healthcare, education, and recreation to all children, is our broader initiative. We have due to the support of donor organizations made progress by leaps and bounds. Our presence in Machar Colony has helped the community in providing them with services that are the basic right of every individual. Following are the projects that we have initiated in Machar Colony: 1. Khel- A learning and rereational centre for children in Machar colony, which solely focus on providing a learning space, a play area and a secure environment for children who work at night in shrimp peeling factories and are found gambling or aimlessly roaming the streets in the day time. 2. Sehat Ghar- a maternal and child health clinic under the name Sehat Ghar and since its inception in 2014 has treated 45,000+ patients for Hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis, water-borne diseases, scabies, respiratory disorders and diabetes. Our program is working with expectant mothers and newborn children and is enabling the community through various medical camps in order to make informed decisions regarding health, family planning and child birth. The three room clinic has an ultrasound facility and a running labor room for expectant mothers. 3. Pasban-e-Mauhal- An environmentally friendly initiative focusing on solid waste management and waste disposal. A garbage loader and two sanitary workers have been assigned under this project which go door-to-door and collect waste. 4. Imkaan Ghar- A shelter for abandoned babies. Imkaan Ghar shelters babies that are rescued and are provided healthcare and a safe home until adopted by forever families.

Since our establishment in 1984, SIBAT envisions a just and sovereign society that upholds genuine development through people-based science & technology. SIBAT commits to develop, promote and popularize the application of appropriate technologies towards attaining village-level sustainable development in poor communities. As such, SIBAT have gained significant breakthroughs in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, genetic conservation and water systems development. By the end of 2022, SIBAT's goals are: 1. Self-reliant and resilient communities that have adopted appropriate technologies and can adapt to the effects of climate change. 2. Institutionalized structures and mechanisms that support the appropriate technology (AT) efforts of SIBAT and partner poor communities. Care for health and environment. SIBAT works for the conservation and management of the environment and gives due attention to the promotion of good health and well-being of the people. Gender consciousness. SIBAT integrates and promotes gender equality in its programs and projects, and in each individual's work, actions and language.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and the general community through programs that help to achieve the maximum possible level of functionality, independence and autonomy. Our objectives are: contribute to the promotion of health and prevention of disability, promote the development, the recovery and maintain the functional level, through Rehabilitation and re-aptation, contribute to the development of skills for school and work for the integration of people with disabilities and promote social participation of people with disabilities by raising awareness and eliminating barriers within the society. FONTEN is a project we have built together, it's a future we are passionate about. Sacrifices have been made by all of us in these past two years during the process of attaining Government Recognition as a Foundation. Programs have been suspended due to lack of financial resources and we have tightened our belts. This dedication and commitment to the Foundation's goals by a local, experienced staff is something that has enabled us to persevere and will contribute to the success of future endeavors.

Fast Rural Development Program (FRDP) is a nonprofit and nongovernmental organization registered under the societies Act XXI of 1860, working in the underprivileged areas of Sindh, Pakistan since 2007. The Program is aimed at facilitating the disadvantaged communities in a way that they could be empowered to secure their rights with command over the resources and capabilities to manage the process of sustainable development. FRDP is involved with overall integrated development but its major focus is to promote Water and Sanitation, Health & Hygiene, Emergency Relief, improve Education, SRHR, MNCH, Poverty Alleviation, Promotion of Human Rights (especially the rights of women, children indigenous groups and persons with disabilities), Peace Building and Good Governance. FRDP has well educated, experienced and committed members on its board. FRDP is known for its highly qualified, motivated and experienced staff, quality work, transparent systems and excellent perception among the communities, government and other relevant stakeholders at provincial, national and international level. FRDP has implemented a wide range of projects with its national and international partners including government in the fields as mentioned above. Some prominent partners are Sindh Education Foundation, UNICEF, FAO, IOM, Oxfam, Concern Worldwide, The Asia Foundation, Penny Appeal, Amir Khan Foundation and ActionAid. The organization has up to the mark systems and policies which include Tally ERP Financial Software, Financial Policy, Admin & Logistic Policy, HR & Gender Policy, Internal & External Audit Systems and Complaint Response Mechanism. FRDP seeks the services of topmost auditors for its annual audit. FRDP believes in two-way monitoring system i.e. top to bottom and vice versa. Our mission is to provide educational services to people who are in need in Shelby County. Re-entry reporting is a separate component that we offer to inmates at the Shelby County Government: Divisions of Corrections before exiting the compound. Our goal is to empower and serve the greater good in Shelby County but are not limited to the needs of our city. We are investing in the citizens of Shelby County, City of Memphis and our next generation of youth and adult leaders. Our focus is helping families, the homeless, inmates incarcerated, and newly exiting offender population in need. We provide support, transitional services, staffing, operations, and management for Cooling/Warming Centers, Emergency aid and short term shelter options. Efforts are successful with community partners, sponsors, grants, fundraising, donations, food drives, coat drives, clothing, gently used furniture and so forth. We promote self-sufficiency, health & wellness, educational and advocacy programs. LHTF operates under four key values: Respect, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence.

To improve the quality of life of rural and tribal communities suffering from poverty, health hazards, illiteracy, lack of enforcement of laws of the nation with special reference to rights of women and children, environment degradation, lack of facilities for playing &sport activities and for the nurturing traditional culture of the target people.To strive for the empowerment of under served and underprivileged village communities with special emphasis on women through the organization of awareness creation, skill development, income generation, leadership development, community organization and capacity building programs; To allow participation of people's groups in all programs, projects and activities undertaken through the auspices of ARTI and in all stages from identification of needs and problems through to implementation, monitoring and evaluation; To avoid total dependency status of individuals and communities on outsiders through strengthening skill in the development processes;To strive for the empowerment of under served and underprivileged village communities with special emphasis on women through the organization of awareness creation, skill development, income generation, leadership development, community organization and capacity building programs;

Bear With Us: Four primary areas of operation are: 1-Black Bear Rehabilitation; orphaned bear cubs and injured bears cared for and returned to the wild in a high state of health. 2-Bear Sanctuary; various species; A comfortable place to stay for permanent unreleasable bears such as ex-circus bears, zoo excess or illegal pet confiscations. 3-Education; (a)-off location slide/video presentations for groups at Provincial Parks, schools, cub and guides, other young peoples groups, nature clubs and more. (b)-comprehensive website, facebook page and a special educational facebook page for Molly Bear. (c)-one on one phone conversations and email responses to indivduals with questions regarding bears. 4-Conflict Resolution; Assisting people and bears to coexist together. Individual consultation with people about how not to encourage or discourage a nuisance bear by removing food attractants, live trapping and relocating individual bears when other potential solutions have been exhausted.

VOKRA is a no-kill, non-profit, registered charity dedicated to the rescue of cats in the Lower Mainland. VOKRA does not have a shelter. Instead, we provide over 100 individual foster homes throughout the Lower Mainland. In a home environment, our cats are safe and receive lots of love and attention. VOKRA covers all costs and provides ongoing support to foster families. VOKRA's Trap-Neuter-Return team humanely traps feral cats and kittens. Pregnant feral mothers are cared for through birthing and weaning, at which time we spay the mother and socialize the kittens. If the mother cannot be tamed, she is returned to a location where volunteers ensure food and water are available daily, and the cat’s health can be monitored. We also neuter feral male cats, and either adopt them out or release them as appropriate, with the same care arrangements. VOKRA rescued over 1,420 felines in 2009. VOKRA has no paid staff.
