The Ruth Garrett Millikan Graduate Fellowship Fund will provide financial support to graduate students enrolled in the Department of Philosophy, housed within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The Masonic Higher Education Bursary was established by Most Worshipful Brother Ross Sheppard, an Edmonton School Superintendent as the Official Outreach Charity of the Freemasons under the Grand Lodge of Alberta. The first four bursaries of $500.00 were given in 1959. Today, the Grand Lodge of Alberta continues to raise funds to assist students, who are in financial need, to attend university or college.
