Friends of African Village Libraries is committed to long-term management of and support for small community libraries in rural Africa. Our goal is to establish long-term relationships with community libraries, rather than provide an initial donation and move on to another village. We believe that every child and adult should have the opportunity to pick up a book and read, so we are dedicated to increasing access to reading material and other information in rural villages in sub-Saharan Africa.

FACE(FOUNDATION FOR AFRICAN CHILDREN EDUCATION) DIVISION OF FOCUS ON AFRICA WAS FORMED IN 2006. WE HAVE STARTED OUR WORK IN GHANA. SINCE 2006 WE HAVE BEEN MAKING TRIPS WITH VOLUNTEERS,ONCE A YEAR,TO REMOTE VILLAGES IN GHANA TO SPONSOR SELECTED CHILDREN TO GO TO SCHOOL. FROM 50 SPONSORED KIDS IN 2006 ,WE HAVE GROWN TO 180 SPONSORED KIDS IN 2010 THANKS TO GROWING NUMBER OF SPONSORS JOINING US. SPONSORS RECEIVE PHOTOS OF THEIR SPONSORED CHILD EVERY YEAR.

Canadian Support of Rural African Initiatives (CSRAI) is a volunteer non-governmental organization started in the mid-1990's with a mission to address the devasting impacts of HIV/AIDS in Africa. In Tanzania, CSRAI partners with local community -based organizations to deliver a range of programs that aim to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS and support both children and adults who have been affected by the disease. These programs include: prevention education and outreach; orphan support and vocational training (agriculture, sewing, carpentry, auto mechanics) ; guardian/caregiver support and income generation; and, home care.

SACHM is a charitable organization dedicated to serving the public good. It began as an informal organization in 2002 but soon developed its own constitution to guide its work. In 2004 it formalized its status as a non-profit corporation pursuant to the provincial Non-Profits Corporation Act, 1995. As a provincial organization SACHM has members and linkages throughout the province. SACHM also is committed to working in collaboration and partnership with others to strengthen the preservation and celebration of history, identification of those who have influenced its course, as well as strengthening multiculturalism, human rights and social justice.

Saide is an education support organization founded on social justice and open learning principles with the vision of a society where all people value, have access to and succeed in lifelong education and training. At Saide, we believe that to be truly transformative and become a foundation for lifelong success, education must be guided by the following principles. Openness: We advocate for open education including sharing knowledge freely, breaking down barriers to educational resources, and encouraging lifelong, self-directed learning. Social justice: We champion fair access to education, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their gender, race, culture or socio-economic background, has equal opportunities to learn and succeed. Diversity and Inclusion: Transformative education embraces diverse voices and perspectives, fosters a learning environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered to participate. Learner-centred approaches: We champion learner-centred approaches that tailor education to the needs, interests, and strengths of students, allowing them more agency in their learning journeys. Focus on future skills: Education must equip learners with the skills necessary for today and the future, such as critical thinking, digital literacy, collaboration, creativity, and emotional intelligence. Global and local relevance: Education must evolve and be adaptable to address global challenges while remaining culturally relevant and responsive to local needs.
