Cheetah Conservation Fund Canada works in partnership with Cheetah Conservation Fund which is based in Namibia, Southern Africa. Namibia has the largest population of wild cheetahs in the world. Cheetah Conservation Fund Canada is a Canadian registered charity dedicated to the conservation of the wild cheetah throughout Africa and Asia.

The Comox Valley Land Trust works with public and private landowners to protect greenspace, ecosystems and landscape scale connectivity in the Comox Valley. We hold 11 conservation covenants on properties that have ecologically significant geology, aquatic features, connectivity, flora and fauna. We also work proactively with Government and the development community to modernize and streamline environmentally friendly land use practices, low impact development technologies and rainwater management.

In Ottawa, 38,000 Aboriginal people make up less than 5% of the population, but 30% of our homeless. Rates of poverty, suicide, addiction, incarceration and high school drop-out are anywhere from double to ten times as likely to occur among Aboriginal people compared to the general population. Wabano is reversing these trends, with over 10,000 Aboriginal people using our programs and services each year. The Cultch Connects Program is Back! Last spring, we launched The Cultch Connects Program: an initiative that provides free tickets for Cultch shows to members of our community who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience live performance. Since launching the program in April 2013, we’ve given away over 700 tickets to more than 50 different community groups & family organizations. The response from members of the organizations who have benefited from The Cultch Connects Program was so overwhelming that we’re inspired to continue to find funding for this program so that we can offer as many tickets as possible to the ever-growing list of participating organizations.
