Democracy Unlimited of Humboldt County

Formed in September 2009, Move to Amend is a coalition of hundreds of organizations and hundreds of thousands of individuals committed to social and economic justice, ending corporate rule, and building a vibrant democracy that is genuinely accountable to the people, not corporate interests. We are calling for an amendment to the US Constitution to unequivocally state that inalienable rights belong to human beings only, and that money is not a form of protected free speech under the First Amendment and can be regulated in political campaigns.

Verein Feministische Alleinerzieherinnen - FEM.A

The Association of Feminist Single Mothers - FEM.A is an independent, non-partisan, non-denominational feminist association. FEM.A advocates the values enshrined in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. FEM.A advocates the values of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, also known as the Istanbul Convention, which was ratified by Austria in 2014. As feminist single parents we demand self-determination and independence for our lives. That is why FEM.A demands that Austrian politicians create laws that enable single parents to live self-determined and financially independent lives. FEM.A envisions a world in which women's and children's rights are recognized as human rights. In such a world, neither women nor children live in fear of violence. The Association of Feminist Single Mothers - FEM.A fights for strong mothers and their right to a carefree life. For their children and their right to a happy childhood. The association mainly addresses women, since 91% of single parents with children under 15 years old are women. It has a clearly feminist and progressive orientation, in which the self-determination of the single parent is the main focus. FEM.A is increasingly educating the public about the grievances and major hurdles faced by single mothers. FEM.A provides political leaders with important impulses to improve the sometimes frighteningly precarious situation of single mothers and their children. We work independently of political parties and are not affiliated with any political party or organization. We provide hands-on help to single mothers in need through our phone helpline, which is available on working days from 3 pm to 6 pm. We help single mothers to educate themselves on topics ranging from family law, education, career opportunities, psychology and many others. For those in need, we can allocate free-of-cost first consultation at specialized lawyers, psychologists, coaches and other specialists.

BC Civil Liberties Association

Education: We provide speakers and free publications such as the Privacy Handbook, Rights Talk, The Arrest Handbook, Police Complaints and the Citizenship Handbook. Advocacy: We provide direct assistance to individuals who have complaints or concerns about civil liberties violations by government, employers, etc. Common areas of work include police and privacy complaints, free speech and anti-oppression. Policy: We have played a major role in advocating for human rights legislation, police accountability reform, access-to-information and privacy legislation, while also resisting the more draconian anti-terrorism provisions. Litigation: When all else fails, the BCCLA will challenge laws in the courts. We have always fought to preserve freedom of expression in Canada through strategic litigation, such as opposing book bans. If you believe in protecting the rights and freedoms of all Canadians and want to take action on these issues, please become a member or donate today!

EVIDENCE AND METHODS LAB (EML) LTD

The Evidence and Methods Lab is driven by the mission of "Simplifying Data for Empowerment." Data has immense potential to drive positive change, but only if it's accessible and understandable to all. At EML, we act as a bridge, transforming complex datasets and research across key sectors (public accountability and anti-corruption, human rights, election conflict and violence prevention, and climate change) into clear and engaging formats like visualizations and reports. We foster a culture of data-driven decision-making by equipping individuals and organizations with the skills to interpret and utilize data effectively. This approach enhances transparency, promotes informed decision-making, and empowers communities to advocate for their rights, address social injustices, and push for meaningful change in these critical areas.
